Role: Software Engineer (Level 3)




Experience: 7–13 years




Role Overview




Software Engineer Level 3 is a seasoned individual contributor responsible for designing and delivering complex features with strong ownership. The role requires depth in coding, ability to create modular designs, mentor junior engineers, and effectively use AI tools to improve productivity and solution quality.




Key Responsibilities




  • Own the end-to-end development of medium to large features or modules.
  • Design components, APIs, workflows, and reusable utilities.
  • Write high-quality, secure, scalable, and well-tested code.
  • Perform in-depth debugging, performance tuning, and root-cause analysis.
  • Mentor Level 1 & Level 2 engineers through code reviews and guidance.
  • Participate actively in Agile processes including estimation, refinement, and sprint planning.
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, deployment readiness, and environment stability.
  • Use AI tools for design improvements, code generation, test automation, documentation, and solution analysis.


Required Skills




  • Strong expertise in .NET Core, Angular, REST APIs, microservices basics, and database design.
  • Proficient in writing SQL queries, joins, stored procedures, and query optimization.
  • Good understanding of design patterns, modular architecture principles, and integration patterns.
  • Working knowledge of at least one cloud platform (Azure is preferred).
  • Strong analytical, logical reasoning, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience in writing and reviewing unit tests, API tests, and performance tests.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and mentoring ability.
  • AI Skills:
    • Skilled in using AI tools (GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Azure AI) for coding, design suggestions, and documentation.
    • Ability to validate AI-generated output and incorporate it responsibly in development.
    • Understanding of AI-assisted development practices.


Preferred Skills



  • Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure), containerization, CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience in performance optimization and building reusable frameworks/utilities.
