Software Engineer II

Platform Services is part of Global Infrastructure, responsible for Private & Public Cloud, Databases , CI/CD and Enterprise Observability. Database Platform is a group in Platform Services, which provides Architecture, Engineering, and support of DBMS software and infrastructure to ensure we offer high availability/recovery/performance solutions to the Development teams and Content DBAs. We are driving the adoption of self-service capabilities through APIs for health checks, backups, restarts, and administrative operations, empowering users and reducing operational dependency. By integrating AI-driven automation, observability, and intelligent tooling, we continuously enhance platform capabilities to improve efficiency, reduce MTTR, and enable proactive operations.

We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer with 2–8 years of experience . The ideal candidate has strong backend development expertise in Python and/or Java, along with exposure to modern AI-driven systems such as MCP servers and intelligent agents. Experience in frontend development using React is a plus.

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems using Python and/or Java
• Build and integrate APIs, microservices, and distributed systems
• Develop and deploy AI-driven solutions, including MCP servers and agent-based architectures
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
• Optimize application performance, reliability, and scalability
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure high-quality deliverables
• Contribute to system architecture and technical design discussions
• (Optional) Develop and enhance user interfaces using React

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, and/or comparable experience
• Knowledge of distributed (multi-tiered) systems, algorithms, NoSQL and relational databases
• Knowledge of the core tools used in the planning, analyzing, crafting, building, testing, configuring, and maintaining of assigned application(s)
• Work Experience:
• Software engineering and development experience or a related job
• Experience in application design, software development, and automated testing
• Experience in object-oriented design and coding with variety of languages
• Experience in distributed (multi-tiered) systems, algorithms, and relational databases
• Experience in Agile software development methodologies and practices such as Scrum/Kanban, iterations, user stories
• Experience in automation testing and documentation (i.e. automated, functional, and performance)
