Software Engineer (Level 2)



Experience: 3–7 years



Role Overview



Software Engineer Level 2 is a mid-level engineering role responsible for delivering high-quality modules with minimal supervision. The role requires strong technical capability, the ability to design small components, mentor juniors, and effectively use AI-assisted tools to accelerate development.



Key Responsibilities



  • Develop, enhance, and optimize application components using .NET Core / MVC modern frameworks.
  • Contribute to low-level design, API design, and module planning.
  • Write high-quality, maintainable, and testable code following established coding standards.
  • Perform code reviews and provide technical feedback to Level 1 developers.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues and contribute to performance and security improvements.
  • Work actively in Agile workflows—user story refinement, estimation, sprint planning.
  • Contribute to CI/CD readiness with basic build and deployment familiarity.
  • Use AI tools for code generation, unit testing, documentation, and analysis.
  • Collaborate effectively with QA, DevOps, Product, and cross-functional teams.

Required Skills



  • Strong proficiency in C#/.NET Core, MVC, equivalent technologies.
  • Good understanding of REST APIs, databases (SQL/NoSQL), Git, and microservices basics.
  • Good knowledge on writing SQL queries
  • Experience working with Azure or AWs
  • Solid problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
  • Working understanding of unit testing frameworks and API testing.
  • Clear communication, teamwork, and ownership of assigned deliverables.
  • Ability to learn and apply new technologies quickly.
  • Awareness of AI capabilities and ability to use AI tools such as Github CoPilot, ChatGPT, or Azure AI to improve engineering output.(Code suggestions, improvements, generate unit test cases, documentation, optimize logic, code review. Learn new frameworks)

Preferred Skills



  • Exposure to cloud services (Azure/AWS), containers, and DevOps workflows.
  • Ability to create or improve small design components or reusable utilities.
  • Experience in writing automated tests or integrating with CI/CD pipelines.
