The Scrum Master is responsible for guiding and supporting Scrum teams to deliver high‑value products through effective adoption of Agile and Scrum practices. The role acts as a servant leader, enabling self‑organizing, cross‑functional teams and fostering a culture of collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement. Key responsibilities include facilitating Scrum ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, reviews, and retrospectives; coaching team members on Agile principles; and removing impediments that impact team productivity. The Scrum Master works closely with Product Owners to ensure a well‑refined and prioritized backlog and supports stakeholders in aligning expectations with delivery capacity. The role also monitors team progress, risks, and dependencies, promotes quality and adherence to Definition of Done, and drives ongoing improvement of processes within Agile or hybrid delivery environments.
