Job Summary

The Senior Site Quality Engineer drives value for the assigned manufacturing site by leading continuous improvement initiatives aimed at achieving defect-free processes and ensuring customer satisfaction. This role ensures that products and processes meet both internal and external quality standards while supporting business performance through data-driven decision-making and cross-functional collaboration.


Key Responsibilities 1. Customer Quality & Issue Resolution
  • Manage plant customer issues, including corrective action requests and escalations.
  • Lead containment activities to protect the customer and minimize impact.
  • Ensure timely resolution of quality concerns using structured problem-solving methodologies.
2. Quality Systems & Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with applicable quality standards and systems (e.g., IATF, customer-specific requirements).
  • Lead and support activities related to APQP, PPAP submissions, and quality documentation.
  • Maintain and improve quality management systems to ensure consistent product and process performance.
3. Product & Process Quality Assurance
  • Verify that products and processes meet both initial and long-term quality standards.
  • Support and/or lead Safe Launch activities for new product introductions (VPI).
  • Analyze quality and manufacturing data to support effective decision-making.
4. Change Management & VPI Support
  • Lead and/or support change management activities for current products and Value Package Introduction (VPI).
  • Validate product and process changes to ensure key performance measures are achieved.
5. Continuous Improvement
  • Lead cross-functional continuous improvement initiatives using Lean methodologies, 7-step problem solving, and Intelligent Quality Tools and Methods (IQTM).
  • Identify improvement opportunities to enhance product quality, process capability, and operational efficiency.
6. Audits & Quality Governance
  • Lead and/or support internal and external quality audits.
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards through regular process reviews and audits.
7. Technical Leadership & Mentoring
  • Serve as a quality subject matter expert for cross-functional teams.
  • Coach and mentor less experienced team members on quality tools and practices.
  • Influence stakeholders to drive balanced, quality-focused decisions.

  • Strong analytical and statistical skills for data-driven decision-making.
  • Knowledge of measurement science (metrology) and process capability analysis.
  • Experience with Quality 4.0 tools, digitization, and data systems is preferred.
  • Strong project management and change management capabilities.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
