Site Manager/ Site supervisor for Pulp, Energy and Circularity Business Area (based in Chennai, India)


Are you the enthusiastic, self-driven and result-oriented professional who wants to move our customer’s performance forward?


We are looking for “Site Manager/ Site supervisor” for our WLP business to be based in Chennai, India. This position reports to “Manager, - Site Management”.  In this position you will have an opportunity and are responsible for coordinating and managing all on-site operations to ensure the installation and erection of the plant in India and abroad.


In this position, you will be required and responsible for,


Responsible for ensuring regular site safety checks are conducted and maintaining strict quality control procedures including regular testing of materials, visual inspections of work, and frequent tours of the site. Set, monitor and report the performance of the site against standards and targets. Develop and implement a variety of operating policies and procedures (in conjunction with subject matter experts) to ensure that the site meets project targets and quality standards. Coordinate pre-site and on-site meetings with a range of professionals, and the customer who has commissioned the work. Controlling and checking the site budget on weekly basis Ready to take the planning and site engineering job when not posted in project sites


To succeed in this role, you will need:


  • Bachelor / Master degree at Mechanical Engineering.


  • 10-20 years experience in the Pulp Mills, in Recovery area (Lime Kiln, Mud Filter, Recausticiser, Disc filters) and have handled projects for the said area is an advantage


  • Experience in Valmet supplied plants is preferred.


  • Must be willing to travel and stay at site for long duration in India and abroad Effective written and oral communication skills in English.
