Position Overview Siemens is looking for a Product Architect for Simulation software Simcenter HPC to provide expert support and strategic optimization for enterprise simulation workloads within complex HPC and cloud environments. This role is central to ensuring application integration, maximizing performance, and resolving intricate system challenges across the full HPC stack. The incumbent will be a leader in reliability engineering, performing critical root cause analysis and managing escalations for our worldwide deployments. This is a pivotal customer-facing role, responsible for guiding deployments, executing upgrades, and leading technical engagements. A comprehensive grasp of HPC hardware, cluster architecture, schedulers, and engineering applications is essential, alongside a proactive approach to automation, continuous improvement, and cross-functional collaboration to enhance system efficacy and achieve unparalleled customer satisfaction. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline 7–10 years of experience in HPC, simulation environments, or large-scale distributed systems Required Skillset Advanced proficiency in Linux (RHEL or equivalent), including networking, security, and system internals. Preferred to have any relevant Linux certifications. Strong expertise in HPC architectures, including compute clusters, schedulers (PBS/Slurm/LSF), and workload management Experience with cloud-based HPC environments (OCI, AWS, Azure, or hybrid architectures) Deep understanding of hardware infrastructure: servers, GPUs/accelerators, InfiniBand/RDMA, MPI communication stacks and parallel storage systems Understanding of simulation workflows (pre/post-processing, solvers, co-simulation, DoE) Ability to analyze and isolate application vs infrastructure issues in simulation workloads Experience in performance tuning, benchmarking, and optimization of HPC workloads Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash) and automation/tooling development Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) in HPC contexts Proficiency in automation and Infrastructure-as-Code (Ansible, Terraform/OpenTofu) Strong troubleshooting mindset with ability to handle complex escalations and customer-critical incidents Preferred Skillset Experience with Simcenter HPC / HPCWorks ecosystem and Siemens simulation tools Experience with EDA or CAE workloads and industry-specific simulation use cases Hands-on experience with automation and DevOps tooling (CI/CD, SCM) Preferred to have any relevant Certifications to Linux, containers and orchestrations tools.
