Who are we?

At Finastra, we’re a global leader in financial services software, dedicated to expanding access to financial services and shaping what’s next for the industry. Our technology powers mission‑critical solutions across Lending, Payments and Universal Banking, supporting over 7,000 customers, including 80% of the world’s top 50 banks, in more than 110 countries.

Overview

The Senior ServiceNow Developer is responsible for designing, building, and enhancing solutions within the ServiceNow platform to support enterprise IT Asset Management (ITAM), Software Asset Management (SAM), and Configuration Management (CMDB) processes. This role blends technical development expertise with a deep understanding of asset lifecycle workflows, data models, integrations, and automation. The ideal candidate is a hands-on developer who can translate business requirements into scalable, maintainable ServiceNow solutions that improve asset visibility, compliance, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

ServiceNow Development & Configuration
  • Design, develop, and configure ServiceNow applications supporting Hardware Asset Management (HAM), Software Asset Management (SAM Pro), and CMDB.

  • Build and maintain custom applications, UI policies, business rules, client scripts, script includes, and Flow Designer workflows.

  • Develop integrations with procurement systems, endpoint management tools (SCCM/Intune/Kandji), and discovery sources.

  • Implement automation to streamline asset intake, assignment, reconciliation, and retirement processes.

ITAM & SAM Solution Engineering
  • Configure and optimize asset lifecycle workflows, including procurement, receiving, deployment, maintenance, and disposal.

  • Support SAM Pro features such as normalization, reconciliation, software models, entitlements, and license compliance.

  • Ensure alignment between asset records, CI relationships, and discovery data to maintain a clean, accurate CMDB.

Data Quality, Governance & Optimization

  • Implement data validation rules, reconciliation logic, and automation to improve asset accuracy and reduce manual effort.

  • Develop dashboards and reports for asset health, compliance, lifecycle status, and optimization opportunities.

  • Collaborate with ITAM governance teams to enforce standards, naming conventions, and lifecycle policies.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with IT Operations, Procurement, Security, Finance, and ServiceNow platform teams to deliver integrated solutions.

  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, contributing to sprint planning, backlog refinement, and continuous improvement.

  • Provide technical guidance and best practices for ITAM/SAM development and platform usage.
Qualifications
  • 3–5+ years of ServiceNow development experience, including scripting (JavaScript), Flow Designer, and platform configuration.
  • Hands-on experience with ServiceNow ITAM, SAM Pro, CMDB, and Discovery.
  • Strong understanding of hardware and software asset lifecycle processes.

  • Experience with integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, MID Server, or Integration Hub.
  • Familiarity with ITIL practices and asset governance frameworks.

  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and documentation skills.

Preferred Skills
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) or Certified Application Developer (CAD).
  • Experience with SCCM/Intune, Kandji, or other endpoint management tools.
  • Knowledge of software licensing models (Microsoft, Adobe, Oracle, SaaS subscriptions).

  • Experience with data modeling, normalization, and reconciliation logic.

  • Background in automation, scripting, or workflow optimization.
