Job Title:  Services Technical Manager


Role Summary:


Provide leadership and technical guidance to Technicians and other teams engaged in maintenance & warranty support at Silliguri , West Bengal of 4500 HP and 6000 HP locomotives. The Maintenance Manager will be responsible to plan and execute all work to achieve best performance levels. Responsible for managing technical aspects of warranty claims, service diagnostics, and technical resolution for locomotive products, ensuring high-quality customer support and minimizing warranty-related costs.
Essential Responsibilities:
                • Provide leadership role in diesel shed and technical guidance to Technicians and other teams    engaged in maintenance & warranty management  of 4500 HP and 6000 HP locomotives.
            • The Maintenance Manager will be responsible to plan and execute all work to achieve best performance levels.
            • The Maintenance Manager will ensure that all the activities being performed under scheduled, unscheduled maintenance including heavy maintenance and Wreck Repair of locomotives are as per laid down procedure and practices, within timelines, cost and quality including documentation and sign off.


  • The Maintenance Manager will escalate all non-compliances of all work scopes to appropriate authority as defined.
    • Ensure all work performed follow laid down EHS policies and practices  
    • Responsible for compliance with local regulations and specific local customer safety policies in the entire shed.
  • Conduct in-depth technical analysis of recurring failure modes
  • Develop and implement technical repair strategies
  • Interface between field service teams, engineering, and customers
  • Manage complex technical warranty investigations
  • Prepare detailed technical reports and recommendations
  • Coordinate warranty repair protocols and technical documentation
  • Support root cause analysis for critical locomotive system failures
  • Develop technical training materials for warranty assessment


Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s in Engineering with 12+ years applicable operations experience in maintenance of Locomotives, and/or transportation/rolling stock equipment.
• Willingness to work in 24x7 operations - different shifts, various days.
• Experience/exposure to IT tools for the purposes of planning and executing work.
• Ability lead teams in a shop environment.
