The Technical Process Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the quality of digital print assets prior to production; as well as supporting internal teams in researching, resolving, and improving processes for file ingestion and printing/manufacturing. An ideal candidate will be a self-starter who is passionate about discovering and solving complicated problems, learning complex systems, working with data, process excellence, sharing technical knowledge with others and effectively communicate with stakeholders. Key job responsibilities
• Define solutions and SOPs when met with ambiguity
• Own and prioritize daily work allocation based on business needs to meet SL and communicate risks proactively
• Defect analysis with complex deep diving
• Manage file review teams, provide training, coaching and conduct performance audits
• Own cross-functional projects or elements of programs that cut waste or improve experience
• Use data to drive decisions
• Make decisions that impact user experience at scale
• Communicate with stakeholders with intent to educate and influence
• Define new risks and roadblocks within ambiguous problems
• Meet individual team-bound metrics, while also influencing cross-functional stakeholder metrics
• Available to work evenings and weekends as needed
- Experience communicating effectively with senior leadership
- BA/BS (preferably in a graphics or printing-related field)
- Experience with Adobe Acrobat Pro, PitStop and Quite Imposing
- 2+ years relevant work experience in printing, publishing or other graphics related field
- Available to work evenings and weekends as needed
- Have a current US Visa and ability to travel to the US within 1 month of hire
- Experience with InDesign, Photoshop, or Illustrator
- Education or experience with printing, preferably books
- Demonstrated ability to work independently to complete projects within a given deadline
- Strong analytical skills that can be used to identify patterns, outliers and opportunities
- Demonstrates strong aptitude for quickly learning new systems and software, coupled with excellent attention to detail and quality control, and communicates effectively both orally and in writing
