Senior Staff Engineer, Playwright with TypeScript

REQUIREMENTS:

• Total experience: 7.5+ years.
• Strong hands-on experience in Playwright with TypeScript for UI test automation.
• Strong experience in API Testing using REST Assured, Postman, and/or similar API testing tools.
• Good hands-on experience in Java and JavaScript/TypeScript based test automation.
• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL with the ability to write and optimize complex SQL queries.
• Experience designing, developing, and maintaining scalable UI, API, and End-to-End automation frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with Git, version control, and integrating automation suites with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps is a plus).
• Familiarity with Docker, virtual machines, Linux, and Windows environments for test execution and troubleshooting.
• Experience in UI, API, regression, integration, performance, and non-functional testing.
• Strong debugging, analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Experience working in Agile (Scrum/Kanban) software development environments.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Playwright with TypeScript.
• Build, execute, and maintain UI, API, regression, and End-to-End automated test suites.
• Develop and execute API automation using REST Assured, Postman, or equivalent tools to validate backend services.
• Create reusable automation components, utilities, and testing libraries to improve automation efficiency and maintainability.
• Design and execute database validations by writing complex PostgreSQL queries to verify application data integrity.
• Integrate automation frameworks into CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and support continuous testing practices.
• Perform testing across Linux, Windows, Docker, and virtualized environments while supporting cloud-based deployments where applicable.
• Analyze test execution results, investigate defects, perform root cause analysis, and provide detailed quality reports.
• Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, DevOps engineers, and QA team members to ensure high-quality software delivery in Agile environments.
• Continuously improve automation frameworks, testing processes, and quality engineering practices by adopting industry best practices and emerging technologies.

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
