Job Description – Senior Software Engineer (Level 5)



Experience: 10–15 years




Role Overview



Lead Software Engineer Level 5 is a senior technical leader responsible for owning major platform components, driving architectural decisions, mentoring multiple teams, and ensuring engineering excellence across the product. This role requires strong system-level thinking, high technical depth, leadership skills, and effective use of AI tools to accelerate delivery, improve quality, and drive innovation.




Key Responsibilities



  • Design, develop, and maintain Windows Forms (WinForms) applications using C# and VB.NET.
  • Build responsive and efficient UI components with a strong focus on performance and usability.
  • Develop and optimize MS Access Database, stored procedures, triggers, and indexing strategies.
  • Perform SQL Server performance tuning and optimize database operations for large datasets.
  • Integrate and consume REST APIs within .NET applications.
  • Work with file handling, JSON parsing, and PDF viewing/processing within the application.
  • Develop and manage batch processing modules and scheduled/background jobs.
  • Implement secure coding practices to build secure, data‑driven applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
  • Maintain clear technical documentation and contribute to architectural improvements.

Required Technical Skills



  • Strong proficiency in C# and VB.NET.
  • Extensive experience with WinForms application development.
  • Strong understanding of event-driven programming concepts.
  • Solid knowledge of MS Access Database, including complex queries, stored procedures, triggers, indexing, and comprehensive performance tuning with query optimization.
  • Experience working with large datasets and optimizing data access workflows.
  • Expertise in WinForms UI design with a focus on performance.
  • Proficiency in file handling, JSON processing, PDF viewing and processing (using libraries such as iTextSharp and PDFSharp), and REST API integration.
  • Experience building batch processing and scheduled/background jobs.
  • Strong understanding of secure application development practices.

Preferred Skills



  • Experience in Kubernetes, event-driven systems, caching, API gateways.
  • Strong understanding of DevOps, CI/CD, security practices, and observability tools.
  • Ability to influence architecture at product or platform level.
