Job description

The Transportation Financial Systems (TFS) team is looking for a passionate Senior Program Manager to own the launch and expansion of SecureFlow risk checks that protect Amazon from financial vulnerabilities across the transportation space. In this role, you will drive the end-to-end program to onboard new ML and AI based risk checks, scale existing ones to additional flows and regions, and partner with leadership across organizations to reduce vulnerabilities causing financial impact to Amazon. You will lead collaboration with the internal TFS technology team, operations, controllership, and finance partners to prioritize and ship risk checks, proactively spot delays, and build targeted mitigation plans. You will leverage metrics, own program reporting, and escalate as required to mitigate risk across Amazon.
The candidate will be a self-starter who is comfortable working with large, complex datasets, possesses strong analytical skills, and is an effective communicator. Cross-team coordination and collaboration skills are essential, as this role sits at the intersection of product, engineering, business operations, and finance.
Key job responsibilities
As a Senior Program Manager on the SecureFlow team, you will develop a deep understanding of the functional flows of the transportation space and own the program to launch and expand ML and AI based risk checks that mitigate financial risk. You will:
Own the program to launch new risk checks and expand coverage of existing checks across transportation flows, business lines, and regions, working hand-in-hand with the internal TFS engineering team to translate risk requirements into delivered capabilities.
Drive intake, prioritization, and roadmap for the SecureFlow risk-check pipeline, balancing competing priorities across a broad set of stakeholders.
Partner with Product Management and the TFS Technology team on technical design, sequencing, and delivery, and work closely with Business Operations, Finance, Accounting, Controllership, and Tax partners to identify risk and shape solutions.
Proactively identify delays and dependencies, create mitigation plans, and escalate as needed to keep launches and expansions on track.
Define and track program metrics, own recurring reporting and status mechanisms, and communicate progress, risks, and outcomes to leadership.
Identify agentic AI based improvement opportunities across processes, technical implementation, and business operations to make risk-check onboarding faster and more scalable.
Deliver solutions and mechanisms that resolve significantly complex risks with broad cross-organizational and/or cross-regional impact, providing long-term beneficial outcomes for our customers (Amazon business, operations, or subsidiaries) and partners (controllership, accounting, finance, tax).
The successful candidate will have experience in program management within a broad, global organization, working with a variety of cross-organizational stakeholders and balancing competing priorities. We are looking for someone who is detail-driven, has a technology inclination, and brings excellent problem-solving and communication abilities. The ability to navigate ambiguous programs and a high bias for action are important for this role.
- 5+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience
- 5+ years of program or project management experience
- 5+ years of delivering cross functional projects experience
- Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
