Adreno GPU has been the leading mobile graphics solution in the industry and has been the dominating GPU in today’s smart phone market. Our power efficient GPU solution is fundamental to enable the exciting new markets like VR, IoT, AI, drone, autonomous driving etc. We are looking for talented Graphics System engineers to create world class GPU products to enable high performance graphics and compute with low power consumption.



Position involves Kernel mode drivers design and development on Adreno GPU, interactions/collaboration with software, hardware, and systems teams to develop/maintain optimized KMD drivers for Mobile/XR/IoT devices running on pre-Sil environment.




Responsibilities:



Work with cross teams to develop pre-silicon Kernel Mode GPU driver.



  • Work on features in upcoming premium and mid-tier GPUs.



  • Closely work with Design and DV teams to analyze and identify bottlenecks and implement fixes/optimizations.



  • Enable and support other teams that use supported features.



  • Identify and support core set of tools for assisting driver development, debug and support




Minimum Qualifications:



• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
OR
Master’s degree in engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ year of Software Engineering or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
• 2+ years of academic or work experience with Programming Language such as C or C++.



• Experience working with GPU's or CPU's Linux kernel or Linux Device Drivers or RTOS (Real Time Operation Systems), 



• Strong Debugging and communication skill.




Skills/experience:



  • Excellent knowledge of OS fundamentals, data structure.



  • Excellent programming skills and expert level knowledge of C



  • Specific experience and expertise in any of kernel subsystems – core kernel, device drivers, memory, SMMU or firmware development.



  • Well versed with development tools like tool chain, version control, debugger etc.



  • Background experience in kernel mode GPU driver is a plus.
