Roles and Responsibilities

Manage, configure, and optimize Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments.
* Develop and maintain automation scripts using Bash, Python, or Ruby.
* Possession of Red Hat certifications (RHCSA/RHCE) is a strong advantage.
* Provide on call support as part of a rotation schedule.
* Work effectively in a Scrum-based Agile model.
* Troubleshoot and resolve complex incidents, actively contribute to Root Cause Analysis (RCA) discussions.
* Investigate, debug, and resolve system related problems and incidents.
* Demonstrate a proactive and automation-first mindset to continuously improve system reliability.
* Reduce incidents by performing trend analysis, identifying recurring issues, and taking preventive actions to avoid future outages.
* Assist internal teams in identifying and implementing customized solutions related to OS.
* Perform OS patching, security updates, and vulnerability management.
* Contribute to Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and Disaster Recovery (DR) drills and documentation.
* Maintain strong, clear, and professional communication skills.
* VMware vSphere/vCenter Experience:
○ Ability to work efficiently on VMware environments, including vSphere and vCenter.
○ Capability to access VM consoles, perform OS installations, troubleshooting, and manage virtual hardware configurations.
○ Basics of VMware tools installation, snapshots, cloning, and understanding VM lifecycle in the virtual infrastructure
* Red Hat Image Building:
○ Ability to create, manage, and customize RHEL system images for deployment
○ Experience working with tools like Kickstart, image builder, or ISO customization
○ Knowledge of building standardized, secure, and compliant OS images for automated provisioning
