Project description We are looking for an experienced Senior Oracle PL/SQL Developer with 8+ years of hands‑on expertise in database development, performance engineering, and data management. You will be responsible for architecting, designing, developing, optimizing, and maintaining enterprise‑grade PL/SQL code and Oracle database components. This role requires deep technical proficiency, strong analytical skills, and the ability to mentor junior developers while collaborating with cross‑functional teams. Responsibilities Database Development & Architecture: Design, develop, and maintain complex PL/SQL procedures, functions, packages, triggers, and other database components. Write advanced SQL queries, analytic functions, views, materialized views, and optimized joins. Architect scalable and secure database solutions to support high‑volume applications. Performance Optimization: Conduct SQL and PL/SQL performance tuning, including query optimization, indexing strategies, and execution plan analysis. Troubleshoot database performance issues and recommend long‑term improvements. Database Engineering & Maintenance: Design and maintain database tables, indexes, partitions, constraints, and sequences. Work with large and complex datasets, ensuring high availability, consistency, and data integrity. Perform root‑cause analysis on production issues and implement stable, efficient fixes. Collaboration & Leadership: Participate in code reviews, enforce coding standards, and guide best practices. Mentor junior developers and provide technical leadership within the team. Collaborate with application developers, architects, QA teams, and business analysts to deliver end‑to‑end solutions. Data Integration & ETL: Work on data migration, transformation, and integration efforts. Engage with ETL processes and tools when required (Informatica, ODI, etc.). Operational Support: Provide advanced support for production systems, including incident resolution and performance troubleshooting. Create and maintain technical documentation. Skills Must have 8+ years of proven experience in Oracle PL/SQL development. Deep expertise with procedures, functions, packages, triggers, and advanced SQL techniques. Strong experience with query optimization, indexing strategies, and performance tuning. Excellent understanding of Oracle architecture, execution plans, statistics, and performance diagnostics. Hands‑on experience with database objects (tables, indexes, partitions, constraints). Strong experience in exception handling, error logging frameworks, and debugging. Comfort working with large datasets and high‑volume transactional systems. Familiarity with Unix/Linux commands for basic scripting and task automation.
