Senior Instrumentation/Controls Engineer

Reporting to the General Manager, the individual will work within the Global Advisory & Consulting team, in close collaboration with the organization’s vast engineering, technology, and scientific resource base. The successful candidate will be leading various offshore energy storage projects and have primary responsibility for the delivery of studies from concept through to Pre-Feed with a focus on offshore energy storage projects. Additionally, the candidate shall support the group’s overall sales effort through proposal/tender preparation, contract negotiation, and other client interfacing activities.




Job Responsibilities:



  • Prepare field instrument specifications, datasheets, and procurement documents
  • Perform technical evaluation of field instruments like control valves, shutdown valves, flow instruments, level instruments, pressure instruments, analyzers, etc.
  • Prepare instrument list, IO list
  • Prepare control narratives, cause & effect, system block diagrams
  • Review instrumentation in mechanical packages and provide inputs, perform vendor offer evaluation, vendor drawing review, etc.
  • Participate in HAZOP, design reviews, etc.
  • Key deliverables include:
    • Instrument & Control Design Basis
    • Instrument Index
    • ICSS Architecture (DCS, SIS, ESD, FGS)
    • Control System Philosophy
    • Cause & Effect Matrix
    • SIL Architecture
    • Analyzer Specifications (CO₂ quality, custody transfer)
    • Custody Metering System Design (Coriolis, N+1)
    • Main Instrument Data Sheets
    • I/O summary (high‑level)
    • Interface definition and Instrumentation tie-ins to existing SIS/FGS/ESD.
    • I&C MTO
    • I&C Specifications

Job Requirements:



  • Degree in Electronic/Control Systems/Instrumentation Engineering
  • Minimum 7 years' of experience in I&C Engineering
  • Possess relevant experience working on Feasibility Study/ Pre-FEED/ FEED projects with reputed International clients
  • Experience in Onshore (LNG, power, CCS, refinery, petrochemical, bio-fuels, renewable, low carbon fuels) and Offshore projects
  • Good knowledge of control system architecture and functionality
  • Possess good communication & coordination skills
  • Ability to understand client and project requirements and meet the project expectations in terms of quality and schedule
