The Senior Implementation Architect is responsible for driving implementation architecture strategy, enterprise onboarding transformation, and organizational implementation maturity across the Qualys platform.
This role focuses on creating scalable implementation frameworks, reducing operational ambiguity, improving cross-functional implementation alignment, and establishing architecture-led onboarding standards for complex enterprise customer environments.
Unlike traditional implementation execution roles, this position is responsible for defining how enterprise implementations should be operationalized, governed, standardized, and scaled across customers, products, and internal teams.
A core expectation of this role is the ability to identify, deconstruct, and resolve implementation ambiguity across customer environments, operational processes, onboarding models, and multi-team engagements. The role is expected to bring structure, clarity, and scalable implementation direction in situations involving complex enterprise requirements, evolving deployment challenges, and cross-functional operational dependencies.
This role serves as a strategic technical leader across Technical Implementation Engineering, Risk Advisory, Product, TAM, Support, and Sales Engineering functions to improve customer implementation experience, accelerate Time-to-First-Value (TTFV), and elevate implementation maturity across the organization.
The role will maintain a strong focus on strategic implementation and operationalization initiatives related to Qualys TruRisk Eliminate (Patch Management), AI Security, and Qualys External Threat Management (ETM) capabilities.
Define scalable implementation architecture approaches for enterprise customer environments.
Establish implementation design standards across Qualys products including VMDR, ETM, CSAM, Policy Compliance, Patch Management, Container Security, Cloud Security, AI Security, and platform integrations.
Guide enterprise customers on implementation operating models, onboarding sequencing, segmentation strategies, tagging architecture, sensor deployment approaches, authentication strategies, and governance considerations.
Lead implementation architecture discussions for highly complex or strategically significant customer environments.
Drive implementation maturity initiatives across the organization.
Establish reusable implementation frameworks, governance models, and operational standards to improve consistency and scalability.
Reduce implementation ambiguity by introducing architecture-led onboarding methodologies and best practices.
Identify structural gaps in implementation processes and drive long-term operational improvements.
Influence implementation strategy evolution across teams and leadership stakeholders.
Act as a thought leader for scalable enterprise operationalization of the Qualys platform.
Improve coordination and alignment across Technical Implementation Engineering, Risk Advisory, TAM, Product, Support, and Sales Engineering teams involved in enterprise onboarding motions.
Help reduce fragmented customer experiences caused by disconnected implementation activities across multiple internal groups.
Act as a strategic escalation point for implementation architecture and onboarding governance challenges.
Partner directly with enterprise customers during critical onboarding, transformation, or expansion initiatives.
Provide architectural guidance for complex implementation scenarios involving large-scale, hybrid, cloud, or multi-business-unit environments.
Support customers in operationalizing the Qualys platform effectively within enterprise ecosystems.
Mentor Lead Implementation Engineers and Senior TIEs on implementation architecture thinking, enterprise onboarding strategy, and scalable deployment approaches.
Help strengthen long-term internal architecture capability within the organization.
Contribute to implementation enablement, documentation standards, reusable assets, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
10+ years of experience in enterprise SaaS implementation, technical consulting, solution architecture, cybersecurity deployment, or platform operationalization roles.
Strong experience leading large-scale enterprise implementation initiatives.
Demonstrated ability to influence organizational processes, operational standards, or implementation methodologies.
Strong understanding of enterprise onboarding governance, scalable deployment models, and implementation architecture principles.
Experience working across multiple teams and influencing without direct authority.
Strong customer-facing communication and executive stakeholder engagement skills.
Ability to navigate ambiguity and drive structured outcomes in evolving environments.
Strong consultative mindset with the ability to influence both technical and operational transformation initiatives.
Experience with cybersecurity, exposure management, vulnerability management, cloud security, AI Security, or compliance platforms.
Experience designing enterprise implementation frameworks or governance models.
Familiarity with enterprise integrations, APIs, CMDB ecosystems, hybrid infrastructure, and cloud environments.
Experience working in high-growth SaaS or enterprise platform organizations.
Experience supporting strategic onboarding initiatives involving Patch Management, ETM, or enterprise-scale operational transformation programs.
This is a highly consultative and transformation-oriented role requiring strong stakeholder engagement, organizational influence, and strategic implementation leadership capabilities.
The role may involve working across multiple geographies and time zones to support enterprise customers, cross-functional initiatives, and globally distributed teams as required.
Candidates should be comfortable operating in evolving environments with high levels of ambiguity, organizational complexity, and enterprise-scale implementation challenges.
The ideal candidate should demonstrate a balance of technical depth, architectural thinking, customer engagement capability, operational maturity, and organizational influence.
Improvement in enterprise implementation consistency and scalability
Reduction in customer onboarding friction and implementation ambiguity
Improved cross-functional alignment during onboarding engagements
Reduction in fragmented customer implementation experiences
Improved Time-to-First-Value (TTFV)
Creation of reusable implementation frameworks and governance standards
Increased implementation maturity across Technical Implementation Engineering teams
Positive impact on enterprise customer onboarding success, adoption outcomes, and operational scalability
