Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior GCP Cloud Administrator with strong expertise (minimum 3 to 5 years exp) in Google Cloud administration and database platforms. The role focuses on managing enterprise workloads on Google Cloud Platform with deep hands-on experience in AlloyDB (minimum 2 years exp) for PostgreSQL and Microsoft SQL Server. The candidate should have strong experience working in product development environments as well as providing production support and maintenance for mission-critical systems.

Google Cloud Administration



Manage and administer infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform including computer, networking, storage and IAM. Implement high availability, security policies, monitoring, and infrastructure automation.



AlloyDB Administration



Deploy and manage AlloyDB for PostgreSQL clusters, configure replication, backups, failover, and perform advanced performance tuning and workload optimization.



SQL Server Management



Administer enterprise SQL Server environments including high availability configurations, patching, upgrades, and performance optimization.



Product Development Support



Collaborate with engineering teams on schema design, query optimization, stored procedures, and database features required for product development.



Production Support & Reliability



Provide L2/L3 support, troubleshoot production incidents, perform root cause analysis, and ensure high availability of critical database systems.



Database Migration & Modernization



Support database modernization initiatives including migrations from SQL Server to AlloyDB/PostgreSQL and optimization for cloud-native architectures.

BE/B. Tech/MCA or equivalent degree with good academic record



Database Certification will be a plus



Strong hands-on experience administering Google Cloud Platform



GCP certifications (Cloud Architect / Cloud Database Engineer)



Deep expertise with AlloyDB for PostgreSQL



Experience with Terraform or Infrastructure-as-Code tools



Strong Microsoft SQL Server administration experience



Experience with CI/CD pipelines for database deployments



Experience supporting production systems and enterprise workloads



Knowledge of Kubernetes or container platforms



Database performance tuning and query optimization



Good understanding of the tools



Experience in product development environments



Experience in reporting tool.



Experience with large-scale database migrations

CI/CD & DevOps



Cloud Build, Artifact Registry, deployment pipelines for .NET applications, environment management (Dev/QA/Prod), rollback strategies, Secret Manager for application and database secrets



Monitoring & Operations



Cloud Monitoring and Cloud Logging, alerting for infrastructure and databases, capacity planning, incident response, troubleshooting production issues



Security & Compliance



Secure access to GCP resources and databases, encryption at rest and in transit, Cloud KMS basics, audit logging, access reviews, compliance awareness
