-Lead the end‑to‑end design of embedded electronic circuits and microcontroller‑based systems for power distribution, monitoring, protection, and control applications.
-Architect robust hardware solutions that meet functional, reliability, environmental, EMI/EMC, safety, and compliance requirements (UL, IEC, NEC, and other relevant standards).
-Own schematic creation, PCB layout guidance/review, component selection, derating analysis, circuit simulations, and design documentation.
-Conduct prototyping, bring‑up, debugging, and iterative refinement to ensure design robustness.
-Drive the integration of analog, digital, and power electronics elements into cohesive, production‑ready hardware systems.
-Perform and review circuit‑level simulations using tools such as PSpice, LTSpice, Ansys, MATLAB, MathCAD, and other analysis tools.
-Apply strong analytical skills to assess component stresses, thermal performance, fatigue life, signal integrity, and system reliability.
-Utilize FEA/CAE tools as required for thermal, structural, and electromagnetic analysis supporting design decisions.
-Demonstrate leadership in delivering at least two medium‑to‑high complexity hardware programs from concept through commercialization, including PoC development, design validation, compliance testing, and certification.
-Ensure designs meet global regulatory, safety, and performance standards relevant to power distribution, switching, and protection products.
-Support DVT/EVT phases, test plan creation, root‑cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
-Work closely with manufacturing and NPI teams to ensure designs are optimized for efficient assembly, cost, testability, and long‑term reliability.
-Provide expertise on manufacturing processes including PCB assembly, SMT processes, soldering standards, component placement, and electronic board qualification. Review manufacturing test strategies, production issues, and field-return analysis to drive continuous improvement.
-Partner with firmware, systems engineering, product management, test/validation, sourcing, and global development teams to deliver high‑quality products on schedule.
-Lead or contribute to design reviews, DFMEA, PFMEA, risk assessments, and technical decision forums.
-Provide guidance, mentorship, and technical leadership to junior engineers and global engineering partners.
Education level required : Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering / Electronics & Telecommunication (E&TC) / Instrumentation Engineering.
Years and area of experience required : 8+ years of hands‑on experience in electronic hardware design, development, and validation for power distribution, protection, switching, or metering product lines
Technical knowledge :
-Strong analog design skills, including op‑amp circuits, filters, sensor interfaces, power supply components, and constant‑current drivers.
-Solid digital hardware experience with microcontroller‑based systems (16/32‑bit MCUs) and communication interfaces like RS‑232, SPI, I²C, Ethernet, CAN, and wireless protocols.
-Proficient in schematic design and knowledgeable in PCB layout guidelines for signal integrity, high‑speed design, thermal constraints, and EMI/EMC compliance.
-Skilled in hardware bring‑up, bench debugging, and use of oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and power analyzers.
-Hands‑on experience with module‑level validation, physical‑layer testing, and design verification processes.
-Able to perform circuit simulations, component derating, and stress/thermal analysis using tools such as PSpice, LTSpice, MATLAB, or Ansys.
-Good understanding of power system fundamentals including VA, power factor, losses, and efficiency.
-Experienced in defining hardware architecture, performance specifications, and system‑level requirements for embedded control systems.
-Familiar with manufacturing processes including SMT assembly, PCB fabrication, DFM/DFT considerations, and supporting NPI builds.
-Knowledge of UL/IEC/NEC standards and regulatory requirements for low‑voltage electrical products.
