Job description

If you are a Senior Oracle EBS Developer with deep hands-on experience in Oracle E-Business Suite R12 and PL/SQL development, this role offers the opportunity to make a broad impact as a shared technical resource across multiple business-critical applications, supporting Customer Service Delivery, Product Intelligence, and Learning Platform teams at Emerson. You will own complex EBS customizations end-to-end, bridge Oracle database layers to modern web applications, and maintain enterprise systems that drive global operations across Emerson's network.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Design, develop, and maintain Oracle EBS R12 customizations across financial modules (AP, AR, GL, INV, Fixed Assets) and service modules (Depot Repair, TeleService, Order Management, WIP, BOM, CRM Foundations).
  • Write robust, well-documented PL/SQL code, including packages, procedures, functions, triggers, bulk collect operations, and dynamic SQL, following Emerson coding standards and best practices.
  • Build and maintain Oracle Forms (6i/10g) and Oracle Reports to support business process requirements across multiple teams.
  • Register and manage Concurrent Programs, parameter sets, and request sets within the Concurrent Manager; debug failed concurrent requests and resolve scheduling conflicts.
  • Design and implement Oracle Workflow and AME (Approvals Management Engine) configurations for business process automation.
  • Support and extend EBS module integrations across Depot Repair, TeleService, Order Management, Education Services Administration, and other business-critical applications.
  • Expose EBS data to web applications through Oracle REST Data Services (ORDS) and REST APIs, enabling cross-team data sharing across Customer Service, Product Intelligence, and Learning Platform systems.
  • Debug production issues, tune SQL and PL/SQL performance using execution plan analysis and index optimization and continuously improve application scalability.
  • Manage competing priorities across teams as a shared resource, communicating proactively on delivery timelines, dependencies, and risks.
  • Conduct code reviews, participate in agile ceremonies, and contribute to technical design discussions.

Who You Are:

You ask the right questions to accurately analyze situations and uncover root causes to difficult problems. You act with a clear sense of ownership and take personal responsibility for decisions, actions, and failures. You partner with others to get work done and create teamwork that allows the organization to achieve shared objectives. You learn quickly when facing new situations and take on the challenge of unfamiliar tasks. You balance multiple demands from different stakeholders without losing focus or quality.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 8–12 years of hands-on experience in Oracle EBS R12 development, including active customization and development.
  • Expert-level PL/SQL development skills, including packages, procedures, functions, triggers, bulk collect, dynamic SQL, and exception handling.
  • Proven experience developing and maintaining Oracle Forms (6i/10g) and Oracle Reports in a live EBS R12 environment.
  • Experience in program registration, parameter set configuration, request set design, and debugging failed concurrent requests.
  • Strong experience across Oracle EBS financial modules, such as AP (Accounts Payable), AR (Accounts Receivable), GL (General Ledger), INV (Inventory), and Fixed Assets.
  • Experience with Oracle EBS service and operations modules, including Depot Repair, TeleService, Order Management, WIP, BOM, and/or CRM Foundations.
  • Experience configuring and extending Oracle Workflow and AME (Approvals Management Engine) for business process automation.
  • Solid SQL performance tuning skills and ability to work as a shared or cross-team technical resource, managing concurrent priorities across multiple products, owners, and release timelines simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to document technical solutions clearly for both technical and non-technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart

  • Experience with Oracle REST Data Services (ORDS) for exposing EBS data to external web applications and integrations.
  • Familiarity with OAF (Oracle Application Framework) for page personalization and custom region extensions.
  • Knowledge of EBS open interface tables and standard Oracle APIs for data migration, bulk loading, and system integration.
  • Experience integrating Oracle EBS with middleware platforms (MuleSoft, REST APIs, or web services) as a data source.
  • Familiarity with EBS Depot Repair, TeleService, or Oracle Field Service integration patterns.
  • Basic knowledge of Agile methodology and experience participating in sprint-based delivery teams.
  • Exposure to Oracle ERP Cloud or Oracle Fusion as a point of comparison to on-premises EBS environments.
