We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Associate Director, Data and Analytics



In this role, you will:



  • Design and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models for architecture, also Define modelling standards (naming conventions, keys, reference data, slowly changing dimensions where relevant) and ensure models are analytics ready.
  • Build and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines into BigQuery from PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and other relational/non-relational sources. Implement incremental loads, reconciliation, and repeatable transformations to support reliable refresh cycles and SLAs with high data integrity/quality
  • Establish a data quality framework: meta-data management, critical data elements (CDEs), rules, thresholds, and ownership for key entities (service/app/CI/incident/change).
  • Implement automated data quality checks (completeness, validity, uniqueness, referential integrity, timeliness) and monitoring/alerting.
  • Drive adoption of consistent definitions and metadata (data dictionary, KPI definitions, lineage notes) to reduce ambiguity and rework
  • Translate stakeholder needs into KPIs and insight products supporting FSA progress, technology health, and service performance
  • Set standards for API development, SQL, modelling, ETL patterns, Qlik Sense development, documentation, and peer review.
  • Facilitate design workshops to align stakeholders on data definitions, ownership, and target-state data architecture.
  • Own delivery planning (scope, estimates, dependencies, risks) and keep outcomes moving at pace.

To be successful in this role, you will: 



  • Strong hands-on experience in data engineering + data mining, including end-to-end delivery ownership as an IC.
  • Advanced SQL (BigQuery and PostgreSQL) and strong data modelling capability.
  • Proven experience creating ERDs and translating business concepts into robust entity relationships.
  • Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines and implementing automated data quality controls and monitoring, also Data governance/catalogue/lineage tooling experience.
  • Strong Qlik Sense skills (load scripting, data modelling, dashboard design, KPI governance).
  • Ability to influence across teams and drive improvements without formal authority.
  • Knowledge of tooling and its data wrt IT for IT (E.g. CSDM in SNOW)
  • Orchestration/automation tooling (e.g., Composer/Airflow, dbt, CI/CD).
  • Basic knowledge of Langgraph / Google ADK
