Senior BIM Technician - Water

As a Senior BIM Technician - Water, you will be part of GCC NZ Water team and operate out of our Noida office.You will be responsible for developing high quality design models and drawings of water/wastewater infrastructure and treatment process projects in collaboration with Design Engineers and in coordination with our NZ PMs. This role would require you to act as an individual contributor as well as guide and lead a small team of BIM Modellers, where necessary. You will be expected to deliver quality within agreed timelines and budgets under minimal supervision. It is expected that you possess sound knowledge and understanding of various tools such as Civil 3D, Revit, Plant 3D etc.

• Work as part of WSP’s NZ GCC Water team in Noida.

  
  

• Develop data-rich 3D BIM Models in Civil 3D/Revit/Plant 3D.

  
  

• Perform individually as well as lead a team under minimal supervision.

  
  

• Coordinate with Design Engineers and Project Manager for the information required to prepare BIM models and generate drawings as per specifications defined by our Client.

  
  

• Collaborate with professionals from other disciplines as well as clients to convert information into 3D models and extract 2D drawings and layouts therefrom.

  
  

• Decipher information received from various formats (hand sketches, BIM Execution Plans and Architectural drawings).

  
  

• Perform clash detection using Navisworks and Revit interference check, export Clash reports, review clash reports.

  
  

• Complete other duties as assigned appropriate for the designated grade level.

  
  

Software Proficiencies

• Must be highly proficient in Civil 3D with good working knowledge of Revit, Navisworks, Plant 3D.

• Proficient use of Windows, MS Word/Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.

  
  

• Sound concept of basic BIM concepts and ability to read and assist in preparations of BIM Execution Plans.

  
  

Educational Qualifications

• ⁠⁠⁠Degree/Diploma in Engineering.

  
  

• Certifications: Autodesk Revit Certified Professional certification is a plus.

  
  

Experience

• ⁠⁠⁠8+ years’ experience in BIM Modelling including at least 4 years' Civil 3D experience in Water & Wastewater projects and must have extensively used Civil 3D within the last 12 months. 

  
  

• Experience with NZ, Australian, or UK projects is preferred, but not required.
