Job title:Senior ArchitectYour role:Responsible for shaping strategic technology initiatives, defining architectural frameworks that align with business goals and focusing on integrating new and existing technologies, influencing industry standards, and driving innovation. Acts as the enabler for the teams, has the responsibility for adoption, success and ongoing improvement of agile development and software development practices. Acts as key liaison with other functions and organizations inside and outside R&D to drive business results.
Architecture & Platform Leadership- Define, evolve, and govern end‑to‑end Clinical Platform architecture across on‑premise, cloud, and hybrid deployments.
- Drive platform modularity, reuse, and standardization across multiple products and Business Units.
- Lead architectural decision‑making across multiple value streams, balancing short‑term delivery with long‑term sustainability.
Innovation & Advanced Development- Identify and de‑risk future technology and architectural topics through innovation and advanced development initiatives.
- Translate emerging technologies (e.g., AI‑enabled engineering, automation, interoperability) into scalable platform capabilities.
- Provide technology‑driven inputs to product and platform roadmaps in partnership with Product Management.
Quality, Safety & Compliance- Ensure architectural solutions comply with medical software regulations, patient safety, cybersecurity, and quality standards.
- Embed design controls, risk management, verification readiness, and security‑by‑design into platform architecture.
- Act as an architectural authority in design reviews, technical risk assessments, and release readiness forums
Engineering Excellence & Governance- Coach and mentor architects and senior engineers on architecture practices, design principles, and technology choices.
- Promote software engineering excellence, including CI/CD, test automation, secure coding, and maintainability at platform scale.
- Collaborate closely with System Architects, Product Managers, Quality & Regulatory, and Business Units.
You're the right fit if:- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field.
- 15+ years of experience in large‑scale R&D software development, with significant experience as a software/platform architect.
- Proven experience working on complex platforms used across multiple products or business lines.
- Strong background in software architecture for distributed systems, modular platforms, microservices etc.
- Experience with cloud, on‑prem, and hybrid architectures, including scalability, performance, and reliability concerns.
- Solid understanding of medical or regulated software development environments (quality, safety, cybersecurity).
- Experience with platform governance, architectural runway planning, and technology lifecycle management.
- Working experience in both desktop and web applications using C#, .NET (Core) & .Net Framework
- Good to have exposure to C++
- Experience with Angular/React, DICOM visualization and clinical workflows is highly valued for this role; Healthcare/imaging (e.g., DICOM/FHIR), Cloud Services (AWS) exposure is a plus.
- Experience with multi-tenant SaaS/platform architecture
- Exposure to data platform / AI / ML / GenAI workloads on AWS
- Familiarity with Agentic AI / automation orchestration concepts
- Version control system – Git/GitHub
- Familiar with AI coding tools like GitHub CoPilot, Windsurf, AWS Kiro.
- Advanced visualization and rendering concepts in medical imaging
- Proficiency in mathematics, and image reconstruction
- Ability to influence without authority across global, multi‑disciplinary teams.
- Strong communication skills — able to clearly articulate architectural trade‑offs to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Passion for mentoring and raising the architectural maturity of teams
- Manages Conflict, attracts, develops technical talent for the team
- Good communication and documentation skills, ability to interact effectively with all levels of management
- Strong stakeholder management, influencing and communication skills proven in a matrix environment R&D BU
- High level of emotional intelligence
- Proactive, independent, target-oriented and self-motivated
