About your team
The ISS Development team leads the design, build, and ongoing evolution of technology solutions supporting the Investment Solutions and Services business. Within this function, the Distribution team delivers scalable, high-impact Salesforce solutions to stakeholders across all asset classes and regions, enabling efficient distribution, stronger client engagement, and data-driven decision-making.
About your role We are seeking an experienced and dynamic engineer for our Platform Engineering Team to support CRD Platform. CRD Platform is Fidelity’s core trading platform, used by Portfolio Managers, Traders, Compliance and Post Trade. This individual will play a pivotal role in future planning and designing of platform to maintain long term sustainability and supportability. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of working knowledge of CRD platform or similar financial application concepts, and the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams globally. Key responsibilities of the role are:
Provide comprehensive non‑production support, including critical batch monitoring, morning readiness checks, application health assessments, environment validations, and routine maintenance activities.
Lead problem and change management initiatives by driving improvements that enhance the stability, performance, and reliability of non‑production environments.
Support application releases, infrastructure upgrades, environment refreshes, and preventive maintenance activities such as DR role swaps to ensure operational continuity.
Contribute to automating tasks, CI/CD pipelines, and scripting using Shell and Python.
Participate in the Autosys batch orchestration setup project to fulfil platform data requirements.
Partner with business users, Product Owners, QA teams, and CRD stakeholders on a day‑to‑day basis to understand requirements, triage issues, support testing activities, and ensure timely delivery across all lower environments.
Collaborate with development teams, infrastructure teams, and cross‑functional platform groups to ensure smooth deployment, integration, and ongoing support of CRD services and components.
Manage and maintain Non-Prod CRD platform configurations, Middle-Tier and other Kubernetes components that support the CRD ecosystem.
Participate in platform modernization initiatives, including automation improvements and environment optimization efforts.
Proactively identify issues and reduce operational noise.
Contribute to continuous improvement by recommending and implementing best practices for environment stability, performance tuning, deployment automation, and operational efficiency.
Support readiness efforts for CRD SaaS and other digital transformation for core platform, ensuring environments, integrations, and operational processes align with SaaS architecture and standards

Essential Skills and Experience
5+ years of total experience, preferably in platform engineering roles supporting or integrating with the Charles River Development (CRD) platform across Trading, Compliance, IBOR/ABOR, or OMS modules.
Strong hands‑on experience with Unix/Linux scripting, Oracle and SQL Server databases, including performance tuning and complex query troubleshooting.
Proficiency with enterprise scheduling tools such as Autosys and Control‑M.
Experience with IBM MQ, message‑oriented middleware, and enterprise messaging patterns.
Ability to automate operational tasks and build utilities using Python.
Experience working with Jenkins, UrbanDeploy, JIRA, and reporting tools such as Power BI.
Ability to troubleshoot CRD issues related to trading workflows, compliance rule evaluations, reference data, benchmarks, and pricing feeds.
Knowledge of the Financial Services domain, specifically Investment Management, Wealth Management.
Understanding of Fixed Income and Equity trading workflows, order management lifecycle, trade flow, and post‑trade processes.
Experience in using AI tools in your engineering process, Like AI-based log analysis or observability platforms to support faster troubleshooting.
Familiarity with automation tools that use AI/ML to reduce manual effort in monitoring, or environment checks.
Collaborative team player who contributes to continuous improvement and drives innovation across the platform.
