The SAP Senior Analyst Sales and Distribution (SD) provide business process analysis, SAP configuration expertise, and solution ownership for end-to-end Order-to-Cash (OTC) processes. This role partners with business and IT stakeholders to support and enhance the current SAP S/4HANA implementation and to help architect solutions for new implementations as business needs evolve. The position focuses on SAP SD process design and optimization, and on ensuring reliable integration to third-party platforms supporting commissions, taxation, shipping/carrier execution, and other order management capabilities. Working in a matrixed, global environment, the role collaborates closely with an existing US-based team and supports users across the US and other global entities.

Core Skills & Expertise




Order-to-Cash (OTC) / SAP SD functional leadership



· SAP S/4HANA Sales & Distribution (SD) leadership across OTC (order management, pricing, billing, delivery/shipping, returns, credit/debit memos, and credit management including FSCM Credit Management)



· Cross-module understanding of SD integration points with MM, FI/CO, and logistics execution; strong SD–EWM mechanics knowledge is a plus (outbound delivery/status flows, HU/packing, PGI timing, qRFC/queue monitoring)

  • Hands-on design and optimization of SAP pricing condition technique (condition tables, access sequences, pricing procedures, account keys, pricing procedure determination)

Duties/Responsibilities

SAP Senior Analyst Sales and Distribution (SD)



· Own end-to-end OTC. Own and support SAP S/4HANA SD across the full Order-to-Cash lifecycle, including order management, pricing, billing, delivery/shipping, returns, credit/debit processing, and related master data.



· Quote-to-order and agreements. Support inquiries/quotations and contracts/agreements (including scheduling agreements), covering copy control, approval workflows, and document/process completeness checks.



· Pricing. Design, enhance, and troubleshoot pricing (condition technique, advanced pricing logic, and pricing-related controls) to support accurate and compliant commercial outcomes.



· Credit and order controls. Configure and support FSCM Credit Management and eligibility controls (inclusion/exclusion, listing/exclusion, order blocks) to enforce customer/material restrictions and controlled product requirements.



· Billing and outputs. Own and optimize S/4HANA Output Management (Output Control) for sales and billing documents, including form/template governance, partner/output determination, and output monitoring/reprocessing to ensure accurate customer-facing documentation.



· Rebates/commissions/settlements. Support rebate, commission, and chargeback scenarios using S/4HANA Settlement Management / Condition Contract Management, including accrual setup/monitoring, settlement execution, and operational reporting.



· Integrations. Manage and troubleshoot integrations between SAP and third-party systems (commissions, tax, shipping/carrier execution, EDI, and other order management solutions); partner with technical teams on integration patterns, monitoring, and error handling.



· Availability and fulfillment alignment. Design, support, and optimize ATP/aATP capabilities (product allocation, backorder processing, supply confirmation) to improve promise reliability and align inventory and fulfillment execution with Supply Chain and logistics teams.



· Batch-managed fulfillment. Design and support batch-managed SD processes (batch determination/search strategies used during order entry, delivery, and picking), ensuring alignment with quality, traceability, and regulated-industry requirements.



· Cross-functional process integrity. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (MM, FI/CO, LE/Shipping, and optionally WM/EWM) to ensure end-to-end process integrity and accurate financial and logistical outcomes.



· Solution delivery. Lead functional design, configuration, testing, and deployment of SD enhancements and defect fixes, ensuring fit-to-standard outcomes and strong documentation.



  • Test automation rollout. Define, implement, and drive adoption of test automation for SAP SD/OTC processes and key integrations (regression suites, smoke tests, and automated validation of critical pricing/order-to-cash scenarios) to improve release quality and reduce cycle time.

Qualifications

Required qualifications



  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).



  • 7–10 years of hands-on experience supporting and enhancing SAP Sales & Distribution (SD) solutions, with end-to-end Order-to-Cash (OTC) ownership.



  • At least two (2) full lifecycle SAP implementations (S/4HANA preferred) spanning requirements, configuration, testing, cutover/go-live, and hypercare.



  • Demonstrated ability to design, configure, and support core SD/OTC processes in production (e.g., sales order management through delivery and billing), including strong troubleshooting skills.



  • Demonstrated experience integrating SAP with third-party solutions (e.g., tax, commission, shipping/carrier, EDI/OMS), including interface troubleshooting and partnering with integration/development teams.



  • Working knowledge of cross-module integration points (SD with MM and FI/CO, and LE/Shipping). Exposure to WM/EWM is a strong plus.



  • Strong analytical and documentation skills; ability to translate business requirements into functional designs and testable solutions.



  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; proven ability to work effectively in a matrixed, global team supporting US and other entities (including overlap with US business hours as needed).



Preferred / nice-to-have



  • Experience in regulated/controlled industries (e.g., medical device) with understanding of compliance, audit readiness, and validation considerations.



  • Exposure to SAP Global Trade Services (GTS) and trade/export compliance concepts (export controls, sanctioned party screening, embargo checks), including familiarity with Incoterms, export documentation, and country-of-origin / preference implications.



  • Experience delivering projects using SAP Activate methodology (fit-to-standard workshops, backlog management, and structured testing/cutover approaches).



  • Integration tooling exposure (e.g., IDoc/ALE/EDI, SAP APIs/OData services, SAP Integration Suite (CPI) or SAP PI/PO).



  • Data migration exposure using S/4HANA Data Migration Cockpit / LTMC (and/or LSMW/BAPI-based approaches), including reconciliation/validation support.



  • Exposure to SAP Business AI capabilities (including Joule) and interest in adopting modern SAP innovations relevant to SD.
