Job Title / Designation: SR. FACULTY – GAME DEVELOPMENT




Job Description



We are looking for a skilled and experienced Game Development Instructor who specializes in Unity Engine and multiplayer game development. The ideal candidate should have a solid background in game programming, expertise in Unity Engine, and a working knowledge of Unreal. Additionally, they should be proficient in gameplay and multiplayer programming across both engines.




Specific Skill Set:



  • Unity Engine Expertise: Strong proficiency in Unity Engine, including Visual Scripting and C# programming.
  • Multiplayer Game Development: Hands-on experience in designing and implementing multiplayer game mechanics using Unity and Unreal Engine.
  • Gameplay Programming: Deep understanding of gameplay mechanics, scripting, and optimization techniques.
  • Unreal Knowledge: Working knowledge of Unreal, including Blueprint and C++ scripting and integration with multiplayer frameworks.
  • Networking & Replication: Experience with multiplayer networking concepts, replication, and server-client architecture in Unity and Unreal Engine.
  • Game Design Principles: Understanding of game design, player experience, and balancing gameplay mechanics.
  • Optimization & Debugging: Ability to profile, optimize, and debug games for performance and stability.
  • Industry Tools & Pipelines: Familiarity with industry-standard tools for version control (Git, Perforce) and asset pipelines.
  • Teaching & Mentorship: Ability to effectively teach, mentor, and guide students in game development projects.
  • Problem-Solving & Collaboration: Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Minimum/Maximum/ Work Experience Required: 5+ years

Minimum Education Requirements: Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Application, Computer Science.




Any other skill set:



  • Networked Game Architecture: Proven experience in developing multiplayer games with a deep understanding of networked game architecture, server-client communication, and real-time interaction.
  • Photon Multiplayer Experience: Hands-on experience with Photon Multiplayer would be a great advantage.
  • VR/AR Development: Experience in developing VR/AR games.
  • Previous Teaching Experience: College-level teaching experience would be a valuable addition.
  • Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in a diverse and interdisciplinary academic environment.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication, with a commitment to student success.
