Key Responsibilities
Master Data Governance Implementation
- Lead the full lifecycle implementation of SAP MDG for Material, Business Partner, Cost Center, and Profit Center.
- Conduct requirement‑gathering workshops, process mapping, and fit‑gap analysis with business teams.
- Define and design governance processes, approval workflows, and data maintenance procedures.
- Develop standardized master data processes aligned with business rules and compliance requirements.
- Ensure alignment of MDG design with enterprise data governance strategy.
Business Process Design & Functional Leadership
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications and MDG process designs.
- Define data standards, naming conventions, validation rules, and governance policies.
- Support the creation of harmonized master data structures across multiple business units.
- Collaborate with Finance, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Shared Services teams to ensure process consistency.
Testing, Deployment & Change Management
- Prepare process documentation, test scenarios, and training materials.
- Lead functional testing cycles including Unit Testing, SIT, and UAT.
- Support cutover planning, data preparation, and go‑live activities.
- Provide post‑go‑live stabilization support (limited to hypercare, not long‑term support).
Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as the primary functional point of contact for MDG implementation.
- Facilitate workshops, training sessions, and knowledge‑transfer activities.
- Work closely with project managers, business owners, and data governance teams to ensure successful adoption.
Required Experience & Skills
Functional Expertise
- Strong hands‑on experience in SAP MDG implementation (not support).
- Deep understanding of master data processes for:
- Material Master
- Business Partner (Customer/Vendor)
- Cost Center
- Profit Center
- Experience in defining governance workflows, approval processes, and data quality rules.
- Good understanding of S/4HANA master data concepts and organizational structures.
Business & Process Skills
- Ability to lead workshops and engage with senior business stakeholders.
- Strong documentation skills for process flows, functional specs, and training materials.
- Experience in data governance, data quality, and master data harmonization initiatives.
- Ability to work in cross‑functional teams and manage multiple stakeholders.
