Configure and maintain SAP Payroll (including wage types, schemas, rules, and payroll drivers).
Execute and monitor end‑to‑end payroll processing, including pre‑payroll and post‑payroll activities.
Handle payroll calculations for earnings, deductions, taxes, arrears, bonus, overtime, and reimbursements.
Ensure compliance with statutory and legal requirements (PF, PT, ESI, Gratuity, Income Tax, etc.).
Support payroll month‑end and year‑end activities, including Form 16, tax reporting, and statutory filings.
Troubleshoot payroll issues and provide L2/L3 production support.
Work on integration with SAP Time Management, SAP FI/CO, and Third‑Party Payroll Systems.
Support payroll testing during implementations, upgrades, and enhancements.
Prepare functional specifications and work with technical teams on payroll‑related developments.
Provide user training and documentation.

Required Skills & Competencies
Strong hands‑on experience in SAP HCM Payroll (India or relevant country payroll).
In‑depth knowledge of payroll schemas, PCRs, and wage types.
Experience with statutory compliance and taxation rules.
Payroll configuration, payroll simulation, and retroactive accounting knowledge.
Exposure to SAP S/4HANA HCM or EC Payroll (optional/added advantage).
Good analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
The SAP Payroll Consultant is responsible for implementing, configuring, and supporting SAP Payroll solutions to ensure accurate and compliant payroll processing. The role involves working closely with HR, Finance, and IT teams to deliver efficient payroll operations aligned with statutory and organizational requirements.
