Job Title: Salesforce Platform Engineer



Team: Enterprise Technology



Location: Remote (1- 10 pm IST)



About the Role:



Avid is seeking a technical and strategic Salesforce Platform Engineer to join our Enterprise Technology team. We are looking for a self-motivated expert to own and advance our Quote-to-Cash (QTC) processes within a complex B2B and B2C sales organization. This role is pivotal in architecting, configuring, and optimizing our Salesforce CPQ platform to drive sales efficiency and accuracy. You will take the lead on implementing best practices, ensuring the platform is scalable, and serving as the go-to subject matter expert for all things CPQ. 



Responsibilities:



  • Architect and implement scalable, best-practice solutions to support complex product catalogs, bundling, pricing structures, and renewal/amendment processes.



  • Architect and Develop Complex Pricing Logic: Design, build, and maintain sophisticated Price Rules, discount schedules (volume, term, etc.), and pricing guidance. This includes implementing conditional logicand utilizing custom lookup tables for dynamic pricing.



  • Serve as the primary technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Salesforce CPQ, guiding business stakeholders and development teams on best practices, feasibility, and solution design.



  • Design and maintain complex Salesforce configurations including Flows, validation rules, page layouts, and Lightning pages to support the end-to-end Quote-to-Cash lifecycle.



  • Lead requirements gathering workshops and solution design sessions with business users to translate complex business needs into scalable technical CPQ solutions.



  • Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, solution designs, and best practice guidelines for the CPQ and Quote-to-Cash processes.



  • API Integration Development: Develop and maintain integrations between Salesforce CPQ and other critical business systems, such as ERPs (Netsuite), contract lifecycle management (CLM) platforms,using REST and SOAP APIs.



  • Perform complex data analysis and extraction using SOQL, Dataloader, Workbench, and other tools to support CPQ data integrity, reporting, and strategic projects.



  • Proactively monitor CPQ system performance, data integrity, and licensing to ensure the platform is scalable and efficient.



  • Manage the deployment of CPQ configurations and custom code across sandbox and production environments, leveraging CI/CD pipelines and tools to ensure release integrity.


  • Familiarity with Large Language Models (LLMs) and conversational AI platforms.


  • Proven experience leveraging GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar AI developer productivity tools.



  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Finance, Marketing, and other cross-functional teams to ensure the CPQ solution aligns with broader business objectives.



Qualifications:



  • BA/BS degree in a technical field or equivalent work experience.



  • 5+ years of hands-on Salesforce experience, with at least 3+ years specifically focused on implementing and managing Salesforce CPQ.




  • Proven expertise in the end-to-end Quote-to-Cash lifecycle, including complex product and pricing structures, bundling, discounting, quoting, contracting, amendments, and renewals.



  • Deep technical proficiency with CPQ objects, Product Rules, Pricing Rules, Advanced Approvals, Quote Templates, and the Salesforce data model.



  • Strong understanding of Salesforce platform capabilities, limitations, and governance best practices.



  • Experience with CPQ integrations to ERP (e.g., Netsuite) and other business systems is a significant plus.



  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders and lead requirement sessions.



  • Ability to work effectively in the EST time zone (Amer/New York).
