The Business Need 



With a rapidly growing presence within the Asian financial markets, alongside market leading positions in North America and Europe, FTSE Russell has established a very strong business and brand globally. To support the growth within region, the APAC Sales Team are seeking an experienced sales professional to join the team and contribute to the future success of the organisation. 




Key Functions and Responsibilities 



As a member of the APAC Sales Team, the successful candidate will be responsible for new business development with both clients and prospects and deepening existing relationships whilst delivering on FTSE Russell and LSEG’s strategic objectives. Based in Mumbai, with coverage across India, the individual will be responsible for driving FTSE Russell’s growth within the region, cultivating relationships with Asset Managers, Banks, Asset Owners and Consultants.  




As an individual contributor, you will engage in all facets of the sales cycle—from market analysis and prospecting to account management and senior-level relationship building, whilst supporting the overall growth of FTSE Russell within India. This is a high-impact role with visibility across the organisation, offering the opportunity to shape the future of our Index product strategy. You’ll collaborate closely with colleagues across FTSE Russell’s Global Index Sales, Product, Research, and Marketing teams to deliver tailored, client-centric solutions. 




Key responsibilities: 




Business Development: 



  • Build relationships with key stakeholders within the Asset Management, Bank, Asset Owner and Consultant ecosystem. 



  • Identify client requirements and position FTSE Russell as a strategic partner to achieve investment goals. 



  • Develop and implement sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue targets. 



Product Expertise: 



  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of our products, including equity, fixed income, ESG, and custom indexes. 



  • Developing client centric solutions to maximise penetration of products across a variety of asset classes and customer segments. 




Teamwork: 



  • Collaborate with regional teams to share insights, align strategies, and support cross-regional opportunities. 



  • Support the Sales team  




Reporting and Analysis: 



  • Establish customer feedback loop, assuring a two-way dialogue for new product generation and thought leadership. 



  • Track and report sales activities, pipeline progress, and client feedback using CRM tools. 




Qualifications/Experience 



  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant subject. 



  • Experience of Indexes and product solutions. 



  • Understanding of the investment management process and trends in the investment industry. 



  • Superior communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship management skills. 



  • Motivated and able to thrive in a targeted sales environment.
