Department: Robotics and Automation, Industrialization




Internship Program (Title): Robotics Simulation Engineer Intern



Duration: 6 months and it should start in July 2026




Main responsibilities: The intern will be required to model and benchmark robots in different simulation environments.




Main activities



Work will involve exploration of robotics simulation as briefly outlined below



Explore and compare different simulation softwares for robotics development



Explore Digital twin and virtual commissioning by development of Proof of Concept



Integrate models of robots like Fanuc, UR10 etc. in different simulation softwares and draw conclusions




Skills:



The intern must be familiar with at least 2 of the following topics.



Knowledge on Simulation softwares like Gazebo, Isaacsim, 3DX, Copella SIM etc.



Programming Languages - C++, Python, MATLAB (any one)



Preferable to have experience in ROS2




Eligibility  Students from any engineering background with hands-on experience in robotics and control (academic projects, past internships etc.)
