The Opportunity:
 

ApplyBoard is seeking a Business Intelligence Developer to support one of our school partners in building and supporting reporting and analytics solutions that power operational performance and decision-making. This role is responsible for transforming raw data into meaningful insights through dashboards, data models, and reporting tools.

You will partner closely with business stakeholders to understand reporting needs, design scalable data solutions, and deliver intuitive, self-service analytics. In addition to reporting, you will analyze data and processes to identify opportunities for operational and performance improvements.

What You’ll Be Doing Every Day: 

• Gather and translate business requirements into technical specifications and reporting solutions

  
  

• Design and develop data models to support business intelligence and analytics use cases

  
  

• Build interactive dashboards and visualizations using Power BI and/or Tableau

  
  

• Develop and maintain SQL-based data marts and data warehouse structures

  
  

• Write complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and views to extract and transform data

  
  

• Develop and manage ETL processes using tools such as SSIS

  
  

• Support end-to-end BI development lifecycle including design, testing, deployment, and support

  
  

• Partner with stakeholders to define KPIs and deliver actionable insights

  
  

• Troubleshoot and resolve data and reporting issues across systems

  
  

• Provide ad hoc data analysis and reporting support

  
  

• Maintain and optimize reporting performance and data accuracy

  
  

• Collaborate with engineering and data teams to improve data architecture and accessibility

  
  

What You Bring to the Table:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field

  
  

• 1–3 years of experience working with Microsoft SQL Server and building SQL-based data solutions

  
  

• Experience writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects

  
  

• Experience with ETL processes and tools such as SSIS or equivalent

  
  

• Experience with BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau

  
  

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  
  

• Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions

  
  

• Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
