  • Drive high-quality, predictable delivery by setting priorities, aligning stakeholders, removing roadblocks, and ensuring the team is working on the right problems.
  • Participate in product requirements and design reviews to influence architecture, testability, and long-term quality outcomes.
  • Define, refine, and use engineering quality metrics to make progress visible and guide team decisions.
  • Mentor engineers through feedback, career development, hiring, and day-to-day technical leadership.
  • Improve tooling, frameworks, and development workflows to increase test developer efficiency, release confidence, and overall engineering velocity.
  • Foster a strong quality culture rooted in ownership, customer impact, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BRING TO THIS ROLE...
  • 10+ years of relevant industry experience, including 3+ years of hands-on technical leadership and people management experience.

  • Strong background in software test strategy, system quality, and test automation.
  • Experience in Enterprise Storage technologies, distributed systems, or adjacent infrastructure domains.
  • Experience building automation frameworks and developer tools that improve engineering and release velocity.
  • Experience driving test-driven development in CI/CD-based engineering environments.
  • Strong technical depth and the ability to contribute credibly in architecture and design discussions.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
  • Strong Python skills or comparable hands-on coding experience used to drive technical excellence in test automation and tooling.
  • Experience working across globally distributed teams and collaborating effectively with multiple engineering stakeholders.
