In this role, you'll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.
As a Quality Engineer specializing in package solutions, you will design and execute testing for applications and systems implemented using ERP packages. This role requires a deep understanding of both the business domain and the related package solution, as well as core and technical testing skills. Your primary responsibilities will include: * Design Optimized Test Scenarios: Create test cases and identify test environment and test data requirements to ensure thorough testing of applications and systems. * Execute Test Cases: Use automation and manual methods to execute test cases, report test status, and address defects to deliver high-quality results. * Analyze Test Outcomes: Analyze test outcomes to identify areas for continuous improvement and optimize testing processes. * Plan Testing Activities: Estimate work efforts and plan testing activities to ensure efficient and effective testing. * Report Test Status: Provide regular updates on test status to stakeholders, highlighting progress and any issues that need attention.
* Exposure to Package Solutions: Familiarity with ERP packages such as SAP, Oracle eBiz applications, or industry products like Oracle Flexcube, Finnacle, Guidewire, Smarter Commerce Suites. * Core Testing Skills: Understanding of core testing principles and methodologies to design and execute testing for applications and systems. * Technical Testing Skills: Knowledge of technical testing skills, including automation and manual testing methods. * Business Domain Understanding: Exposure to business domains and ability to understand business requirements. * Test Planning and Execution: Experience working with test planning, test case creation, and test execution to ensure thorough testing of applications and systems.
* Package Solution Knowledge: Exposure to multiple ERP packages, such as SAP, Oracle eBiz applications, or industry products like Oracle Flexcube, Finnacle, Guidewire, Smarter Commerce Suites, is beneficial for this role. * Advanced Testing Methodologies: Familiarity with specialized testing methodologies and techniques, beyond core testing principles, can enhance testing effectiveness. * Industry-Specific Knowledge: Understanding of specific industries or business domains can provide valuable context for testing and improve overall quality.
