Job Description:
The Product Compliance Engineer will ensure thatproductmeetsinternational regulatory requirements forPressure equipment. This includes managing compliance underPressure Equipment Directive (2014/68/EU) and Transportable Pressure Equipment Directive (2010/35/EU). The role involves certification management of SLB Equipment (Oil and Gas), prepare compliance technical files, standards interpretation, and collaboration with design and manufacturing teams to integrate compliance requirements throughout the product lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
Compliance & Certification
Performproduct compliance activities forPED and TPEDDirectives.
Prepare and maintain technical documentation:Risk Assessments, quality records, conformity assessment reports andcertificates, Declaration of Conformity,test plan and reportsas per harmonised standards.
Coordinate with notified bodies and certification agencies fortechnical reviews,audits and approvals.
Standards & Regulations
Interpret and applyASME Section VIII code, API & EN/ISOstandards forpressureequipment.
Ensure conformity withEUregulatoryrequirements.
Monitor regulatory changes and communicate impacts toproject teams.
Design & Safety Support
Review product designs for compliance withapplicable ASMEcodes, API& harmonised standards.
Perform stress analysis calculations for pressure equipment.
Provide guidance on essential health and safety requirements underPressure EquipmentDirective.
Support CE marking and global certification strategy.
Risk Assessment
Conductrisk assessment of pressure equipment.
Maintain compliance records and ensure traceability.
Cross-functional Collaboration
Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to integrate compliance requirements.
Train internal teams onPED and TPEDDirective compliance processes.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Education:Bachelor's degree inMechanical Engineering.
Experience:
4to5years inproduct regulatory compliance.
Hands-on experience withPED, TPED, &CE marking.
Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge ofCE marking process,ASMEBPVCcodes, API, EN and ISO standards.
Strong knowledge ofconformity assessment modules underPEDDirective.
Knowledge of material selection and stress analysis for pressure vessels.
Understanding ofDangerous Goods Transport Regulations (ADR/RID/ADN/IMDG).
Knowledge of manufacturing& qualityprocessesforpressureequipmentmanufacturing.
Soft Skills:
Excellent documentation and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and interact with certification bodies.
Excellent interpretation skills onproduct complianceregulations andharmonised standards.
Preferred skills:
Experience withMachinery Directive (2006/42/EC).
Knowledge of Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001).
