About the role:
We are seeking an experienced Quality Control/Checker professional to support and oversee financial crime compliance operations within a dynamic, high-growth crypto environment for a crypto client that is launching their compliance program.
This is a client-facing, player-coach role responsible for managing day-to-day operations across transaction monitoring, screening, and Travel Rule workflows. The role will initially support hands-on casework, including Level 1 alert reviews and Level 2 investigations— and transition into a program leader role focused on quality assurance, operational oversight, and stakeholder management.
Role and Key Responsibilities:
· Conduct quality reviews of investigative casework
· Apply QA/QC scoring methodologies aligned to regulatory expectations
· Identify trends, root causes, and areas for improvement
· Lead calibration sessions to ensure consistency across teams
· Partner closely with offshore delivery teams to ensure seamless operations
· Support workforce planning, forecasting, and capacity management
· Drive consistency in execution across global teams
· Support onboarding, training, and knowledge transfer initiatives
· Identify and implement process improvements across:
Transaction Monitoring
Screening
Travel Rule workflows
· Enhance operational efficiency, quality, and scalability
· Support transition and expansion of new workstreams
Key skills & knowledge:
· 5+ years of experience in financial crime compliance (FCC)
· Strong experience in crypto compliance (required), including:
Blockchain analytics investigations
Travel Rule compliance
· Strong understanding of AML/BSA regulatory frameworks
· Experience leading or supervising compliance operations teams
· Hands-on experience with transaction monitoring and investigations
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· SLA adherence and operational efficiency
· Quality assurance scores and error reduction
· Effective escalation management
· Client satisfaction and stakeholder feedback
· Strong leadership and team management skills
· High attention to detail and quality standards
· Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
· Strong analytical and investigative mindset
· Ability to balance hands-on execution with strategic oversight
