QA Engineer 3Summary of the role

You will help improve the performance of customer-facing digital channels on Microsoft Azure. You will design and carry out performance testing, monitor user experience, and support the reliability and efficiency of web and mobile platforms.




In this role you’ll / Your main responsibilities
  • Define performance and non-functional requirements (NFRs), and set performance targets for customer journeys



  • Design and carry out performance testing (load, stress, and scalability) and integrate testing into the development lifecycle using Azure DevOps



  • Analyse performance data using Application Performance Monitoring (APM), real-user monitoring, and distributed tracing to identify and resolve bottlenecks



  • Optimise Azure services (Azure Kubernetes Service, App Service, API Management, Cosmos DB, Azure SQL, Redis Cache, Content Delivery Network (CDN)) for latency, throughput, and cost



  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve system performance, validate scaling behaviour, and support performance monitoring in production




About the ideal candidate
  • Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience



  • Experience in performance engineering across web, mobile, or cloud-based systems



  • Experience working with performance testing tools such as Azure Load Testing, Apache JMeter, k6, Gatling, or similar



  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure and monitoring tools such as Azure Monitor, Application Insights, or similar



  • Problem-solving approach with the ability to communicate technical findings clearly to different stakeholders
