QA Automation Engineer

Our Centre for Intelligent Power seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineer to join our team. As a QA Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. You will play a crucial role in the software development life cycle by designing and executing test plans, identifying and reporting defects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions. You have strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to handle multiple concurrent projects and tasks while adapting quickly to changing priorities.

• Design and execute test cases and test plans for web, API, and backend applications
• Perform hands-on manual and automated testing to ensure high-quality releases
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure quality
• Execute and maintain UI and API automation tests using Selenium and Postman
• Perform API testing and database validation using SQL queries
• Test applications deployed on Azure Cloud and support CI/CD test execution via Azure DevOps
• Identify, log, and track defects and work closely with development teams for resolution
• Ensure adequate test coverage across functional and regression testing
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous quality improvement
• Write and review test-related code with a focus on quality and reliability

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering /Information Technology/Electronics Engineering from an accredited institution required. 
• Preferred - Master’s Degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering from an accredited institution."
• 3+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance, focusing on manual and automation testing
• 3+ years experience in Java or C# (Python or scripting knowledge is a plus)
• 3+ years of experience in automation framework development or maintenance.
• 2+ years of experience in API testing and API automation
• 2+ yrs of Working knowledge of database testing, including writing and validating SQL queries
• 2+ Proven experience to contribute to the development and designing of testing solutions
• 3+ Experience executing and maintaining automated test suites as part of regular testing cycles 
• 2+ Experience testing applications deployed on Azure Cloud or similar cloud environments
• 3+ years of experience in automation testing with a proven track record of delivering high‑quality software
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in Core Java and/or C# (Python or scripting knowledge is a plus)

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and running automation in build or release pipelines
• Strong knowledge of Selenium WebDriver is mandatory
• Proficient in web and Windows application testing
• Hands-on experience in API testing using tools such as Postman
• Experience in database testing with DBMS technologies such as SQL Server and PostgreSQL
• Hands-on experience testing applications deployed on Azure Cloud
• Understanding of cloud concepts such as virtual machines, app services, storage, and basic cloud security
• Experience working in DevOps environments with CI/CD tools, preferably Azure DevOps
• Familiarity with software testing best practices and quality standards
• Experience using test management tools and creating test reports or dashboards
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills
• Good understanding of testing processes, terminologies, and SDLC/STLC
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development methodologies
• Hands-on experience with IDEs such as Eclipse, IntelliJ IDEA and Visual Studio
• Exposure to performance testing tools such as JMeter or Gatling is an added advantage
• AZ‑900 (Microsoft Azure Fundamentals) certification 
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, stakeholders, and customers
