ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Head of Global PR, the PR Manager will support the execution of Audible's regional PR strategy and day-to-day communications activities in India. As part of the Audible Global PR organization, they will work closely with the broader comms team and cross-functional partners to deliver compelling campaigns that drive awareness and excitement for Audible's content and brand. Their scope includes supporting earned media efforts, talent management coordination, agency liaison, event support, and ensuring Audible's storytelling resonates with Indian audiences across all PR touchpoints. This role serves as a vital contributor to driving listenership and subscription growth through consistent, high-quality PR execution.
ABOUT YOU
The role requires an understanding of the Indian media landscape and evolving consumer preferences, strong communication skills (both written and oral), and enthusiasm for Audible's innovative audio entertainment. You will manage multiple projects simultaneously, work with appropriate urgency on fast-turnaround requests, and build strong working relationships across teams. You are adaptable, detail-oriented, and able to maintain quality standards while working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
As a Public Relations Manager, India - FTC, you will...
- Support the execution of multi-pronged PR strategies for the Indian marketplace
- Assist in driving earned media presence for Audible brands and original content
- Monitor short-term and long-term goals for Audible's earned media through measurable metrics; communicate progress monthly to larger teams
- Develop and maintain relationships with key media contacts across print, digital, broadcast, audio and new media
- Support campaign responsibilities including pitching earned media content and proactively managing media relations
- Coordinate proactive PR announcements, launches, and narratives for new products, titles and partnerships
- Liaise with external public relations agency on day-to-day matters and campaign execution
- Assist in messaging coordination with agency partners
- Support the adaptation of global tentpole PR strategies for regional deployment
- Build and maintain strong working relationships across internal teams to ensure integrated approaches
- Track and support talent deliverables across channels to ensure contractual obligations are fulfilled
- Liaise with talent and their representatives to maximize earned media opportunities for Audible
- Coordinate talent relations activities to engage influential talent/influencers resulting in press coverage
- Work closely with content, creative, product, marketing, events, and social media teams to maximize campaign efficiency
- Provide PR input and support toward integrated marketing approaches
- Liaise with Customer Support teams to assist in crafting appropriate tonality for customer responses across all support channels (including FAQs, social media dialogue, etc.)
- Successfully coordinate complex, fast-moving, and unexpected communications challenges
- Support consumer and B2B presence at annual events and festivals
- Assist in expanding press activities that complement marketing and event activations
- Support execution of media-facing opportunities such as conferences, panels, and speaking engagements
- Monitor industry news and competitive PR strategies to identify best practices
- Track earned press coverage and contribute to KPI measurement systems
- Identify opportunities to continually improve PR effectiveness and impact

- Bachelor's degree
- Experience supporting a PR or communications function
- Proven in-depth experience and knowledge of PR and talent management in the Indian market
- Experience working with external PR agencies
- Experience supporting projects from start to finish and delivering successful results
- Experience understanding the Indian media landscape and entertainment industry
- Experience with PR success metrics and reporting
- Experience managing competing priorities and using metrics to drive business decisions
- High interest in podcasts, audiobooks, and digital media entertainment
- Existing network of press contacts in relevant Indian media, entertainment bloggers and influencers
- Familiarity with cross-channel marketing and integrated campaign approaches
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to influence others
- Track record of performance excellence in fast-paced environments
- Ability to identify compelling stories and bring them to life
