Job Title:  Project Lead – (LOHA Tech doc and Item management)

YOUR MISSION


The Project Lead is responsible for end-to-end projects for Load and haul Technical documentation & Commercial item management


Key Responsibilities


The Project lead will be responsible for managing team, assist with technical solutions and value addition. Validate the work and align way of working. Knowledge of mining machines and components.


  • Understand application of mining machines
  • Strong knowledge of key components in the machine-like Engine, Transmission, Axles, and other key parts
  • Creation of spare parts structure for commercial components
  • Contact suppliers and identify details of recommended spare parts
  •  Perform BoM and technical specification comparison of key parts
  • Sound knowledge of technical documentation like parts manuals & bulletins

YOUR PROFILE


Education & Experience:


  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering.
  • 8-10 years of experience into Mechanical engineering in Sandvik or relevant industry, with knowledge of Spare parts, Key components, creating high quality documentation, ability to lead team and manage stakeholders

Technical Expertise:


  • Experience in leading team & managing project
  • Experience in Product application, understanding machine lifecycle and technical documentation  
  • Creation of BoM for commercial components and validate technical data
  • Perform engineering related activities like technical comparison, component spare part assessment, Document creation
  • Provide technical advice & support to team members
  • Strong in Fundamental Mechanical Engineering
  • Strong technical knowledge of key components like engine, transmission, axles, rockdrills etc
  • Knowledge on spare part selection and define recommended spare parts
  • Experience in using Teamcenter and NX
  • Knowledge on authoring packages including Adobe Illustrator and Keyshot will be added advantage
  • Experience in item creation process in TC, MDG and SAP along with key attributes
  • Experience working in an engineering/manufacturing environment, preferably mining or heavy industry.
  • Spare part management, Bill of material handling and attribute understanding
  • Knowledge on aftermarket & documentation process will be valuable

Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills:


  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to understand aftermarket process, design and develop BoM
  • Ability to perform technical validation of components with deeper knowledge of Spare parts
  • Ability to perform component selection using technical skills

Communication and Collaboration Skills:


  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work with global teams
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.

Other Important Attributes:


  • Strong commitment to safety and compliance.
  • Ability to work independently on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Adaptability to work in dynamic environments that may include site visits and fieldwork.
