What You Will Do

What You Will Do


  • Lead/collaborate with engineers and operators on global teams to analyze well/field performance and advise on production optimization 
  • Lead/collaborate with cross disciplinary team of reservoir, facilities, wells, and operations engineers to identify and execute opportunities for production debottlenecking, operations schedule optimization
  • Champion effective production optimization by proactively engaging with stakeholders to address challenges, deliver solutions and process improvements
  • Lead/support periodic assessments of field production system health to identify optimization opportunities
  • Lead/support operator teams for operations schedule optimization, reinstate offline volumes, capacity enhancement, production planning, and downtime optimization
  • Develop, deploy, sustain and apply technologies for oilfield production optimization using data-driven or physics-based methods  
  • Conduct screening economic evaluations of well intervention and stimulation operations
  • Manage production data, measurement and allocation quality assurance
  • Influence prioritization and support enhancement of proprietary production engineering technology
  • Develop technical capabilities of team members through training and mentoring


About You
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree from a recognized university in petroleum /chemical/ mechanical/other relevant engineering disciplines with minimum GPA 7.0
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Production Engineering field
  • Knowledge of basic concepts including:
    1. Inflow/outflow/flowline modeling
    2. Production well testing and allocation principles
    3. Network modeling and facilities operations
    4. Well design, completion, and stimulation technologies
    5. Artificial lift methods and systems
    6. Reservoir surveillance
  • Experience in production surveillance, troubleshooting and optimization of well and field performance
  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate critical operating parameters through data and trend analysis
  • Hands on experience with proprietary or vendor engineering analysis tools within the experience domain
  • Mentorship and team leadership experience will be an advantage


Preferred Qualifications / Experience
  • Engineering Applications such as IPM (GAP, PROSPER, Resolve), OFM and Hysys
  • Programming/scripting (e.g. Python, Matlab, C#)
  • Data visualization software (e.g. Power BI, SeeQ, XHQ)
  • Production database management (e.g. Energy Components, PI, SQL)
  • Digital oil field tools and workflows
