Product Security Engineer -/Pune - 7- to 10yrs

About this Team :


  • The team operates within Enterprise Money Movement (EMM) TechDev, focusing on application security and secure software engineering practices.


  • Its mission is to embed security controls across the SDLC, ensuring all products are designed, developed, and released in a secure, compliant, and audit-ready manner.


  • The team collaborates closely with:


    • Application engineering and product teams


    • Security Operations, Risk, and Compliance functions


  • It plays a key role in driving DevSecOps adoption and maintaining alignment with enterprise security standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., PCI DSS).


What he will be doing :


  • Integrate security controls into CI/CD pipelines and development workflows to support DevSecOps practices


  • Perform secure design reviews, threat modeling, and application security assessments prior to production releases


  • Define and enforce secure development standards, patterns, and best practices across product teams


  • Partner with engineering teams to design secure architectures and improve application security posture


  • Evaluate and support security tools and technologies (e.g., vulnerability scanning, encryption, logging, threat detection)


  • Collaborate with Security, Risk, and Compliance teams to ensure alignment with enterprise and regulatory requirements


  • Produce structured documentation for:


    • Security architecture decisions


    • Risk assessments


    • Remediation plans


  • Monitor emerging threats and industry trends and adjust security strategies accordingly


  • Provide guidance, coaching, and mentorship to developers and junior engineers on secure coding and practices


What he needs to have :


  • Solid experience (~5+ years) in:


    • Application security


    • Secure software development / security engineering


  • Strong understanding of:


    • Secure SDLC principles


    • Application security risks and mitigation strategies


    • Secure design patterns


  • Hands-on experience working with development teams and modern frameworks


  • Knowledge of:


    • Security testing methods


    • Vulnerability management practices


  • Ability to translate security requirements into actionable development guidance


  • Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills


Preferred:


  • Experience with DevSecOps / CI/CD security integration


  • Familiarity with regulatory/compliance frameworks (e.g., PCI DSS)


  • Experience with :


    • Java development


    • PostGres and Oracle databases


  • Experience in:


    • API security


    • Cloud-native or microservices architectures


  • Proven ability to mentor and coach engineers on secure development practices
