Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct evaluation of product, process, and assembly hierarchy to optimize hours per vehicle and cycle time
• Provide early-stage inputs to design teams on Design for Assembly (DFA) and Design for Manufacturing (DFM)
• Define assembly processes considering quality, safety, delivery, and ergonomics
• Associate part, tool, and quality attributes with process definitions
• Perform line balancing, TAKT time, and cycle time planning
• Execute time studies using MTM or MOST standards
• Drive continuous improvement by benchmarking with previous product lines and managing projects for delivery, quality, time, and innovation
Required Skills and Experience:
• Strong technical background in assembly planning, process engineering, and digital/virtual manufacturing
• Experience in automotive assembly domain with hands-on exposure to general assembly processes and problem resolution
• Proficiency in tools such as DELMIA V5, Process Simulate, Vismockup, Teamcenter Visualization, Human Jack, CATIA, NX/UG, AutoCAD
• Knowledge of digital mockup (DMU), assembly sequencing, ergonomic analysis, and virtual manufacturing engineering
• Experience in time study techniques (MTM/MOST preferred; certification desirable)
• Basic coding knowledge and proficiency in MS Office tools
• Strong communication, teamwork, presentation skills, and result-oriented mindset
Educational Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Production Engineering
• Additional certifications: MTM certification (desirable)
Preferred Qualifications (Good to Have):
• Experience in designing small jigs and fixtures
• Exposure to digital evaluation, TCF line planning, and advanced manufacturing engineering
• Research-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving and idea generation skills
• German language proficiency (business fluent)
• Experience working with global stakeholders or cross-functional teams
