The User Experience Intermediate Analyst is an intermediate level role, materially contributing to the research, analysis and design of digital products and systems. 



User Experience partners with Product and Technology colleagues to create innovative and intuitive digital products that deliver best-in-class user experience and usability to our clients, both internally and externally. We undertake a wide spectrum of activities, from discovery and research, through definition, ideation, and design, to the management of design systems and the delivery of interactive prototypes and high-fidelity designs to our development partners.



The UX Design Group’s primary goal is to research and design products and solutions that are streamlined, intuitive, consistent, accessible, great-looking, and easy-to-use, which perfectly suit (or even anticipate) our clients’ needs.
Responsibilities:
 



  • Participate in meetings with users, clients, product sponsors and technology to understand project requirements
  • Perform UX research, define IA, user journeys, and create personas.
  • Use available metrics and data to support decision-making
  • Work closely with users, stakeholders, business analysts, product managers and development teams to brainstorm and co-create ideas, approaches, and solutions
  • Perform relevant testing to validate and inform design decisions
  • Apply a positive and constructive attitude to all feedback
  • Use the approved design system
  • Adhere to design standards and best practices
  • Perform detailed handover to development teams, ensuring they have all they need to implement the designs
  • Provide ongoing support to development, with regular UX review checkpoints as needed
  • Keep up to date with the latest UX practices, innovations, and tools
  • Ensure all designs comply with ADA/WCAG standards for accessibility
  • Deliver on-time, escalating where timelines cannot be met
  • Help to support new starters in the team
  • Confidently challenge substandard work by other team members
  • Participate in the wider UX community of practice
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Soft Skills



  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, delivering quick turnarounds on ideation and design concepts without compromising quality
  • Open to design critique and feedback, demonstrating the ability to adapt and iterate on designs in response to changing requirements or direction from stakeholders
  • Capable of analysing, planning, and estimating design tasks with accuracy; works closely with stakeholders to set clear expectations and manage delivery timelines

Technical Skills



  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs using specialist tools such as Sketch, Axure, and Figma.
  • Proven experience working with design systems, design tokens, and pattern libraries to ensure consistency and scalability across products
  • Exposure to AI-powered tools that support design processes, including ideation, research analysis, and rapid prototyping workflows

Qualifications:
 



  • 2 - 5 years of relevant experience
  • Strong attention to detail & analytical skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Skilled in a professional design tool e.g., Sketch, Figma, AdobeXD, Axureetc.
  • Keen interest in, or knowledge of, banking or finance and worked with complex products
  • HTML/CSS Development Skills
  • Applications with portfolio will be prioritized.

  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
