The Product Definition Analyst / Business Analyst is responsible for translating business requirements into clear, high‑quality functional solutions. The role involves close collaboration with Product Management, Development, Testing, and Customer‑facing teams to ensure functional consistency, system integrity, and successful delivery across the product lifecycle.

The role requires strong functional expertise, structured analysis, and the ability to work within established processes while continuously proposing improvements. 

Common Accountabilities

• Demonstrates strong technical and functional knowledge and experience in the assigned discipline.

  
  
  

• Understands the Hospitality business context and how the role contributes to overall business objectives.

  
  
  

• Works within established procedures, guidelines, and methodologies, providing inputs to support and influence area‑level decisions.

  
  
  

• Analyze multiple sources of information to recommend new solutions and propose continuous improvements.

  
  
  

• Operates with a moderate level of guidance and direction from the manager.

  
  
  

• Experience with Hospitality is a plus

  
  
  

Specific AccountabilitiesRequirement Analysis & Functional Expertise

• Assess and analyze business requirements submitted by Product Management and Product owner. Handle ambiguous situations and bring clarity to product features.

  
  
  

• Build, maintain, and share functional knowledge of processes, services, and end‑user product usage.

  
  
  

• Size specification and assess feasibility of proposed architecture and solutions.

  
  
  

• Working knowledge of UML, JSON and JSON API, web services, XML, XML API, XML SCHEMA, XSLT, XSD

  
  
  

Functional Design & Documentation

• Carry out functional design activities aligned with business and technical constraints.

  
  
  

• Produce and maintain key functional deliverables, including:

  
  
  

  • Feasibility Studies

    
    
    

  • Solution Overview Documents

    
    
    

  • Interface Control Documents

    
    
    

  • Product Specifications

    
    
    

• Prepare and present functional walkthroughs to all relevant stakeholders.

  
  
  

• Interface with relevant departments to identify dependencies and ensure functional compatibility with overall product.

  
  
  

• Review test plans to ensure compliance with functional specifications and overall system integrity.

  
  
  

Stakeholder & Collaboration Management

• Interface and communicate effectively with Product Management, Project Management, Development, Amadeus Customer Services, Implementation, and Migration teams.

  
  
  

• Interface with customers during requirement understanding, functional specification, testing, and implementation phases.

  
  
  

• Support team stakeholders by actively participating in Agile ceremonies, team meetings, solution assessments, and other team events.
