As a Procurement Sourcing Professional, you will source commodity demand in line with the global sourcing strategy and follow the 7-step sourcing process. This role requires deep industry knowledge of the commodity being sourced, as well as data and benchmarking insight to drive effective sourcing decisions. Your primary responsibilities will include: * Develop Sourcing Strategies: Understand the demand, establish the appropriate suppliers, and provide cost-effective and high-quality supply in line with the global sourcing strategy created by the particular sourcing council. * Analyze Data and Benchmark: Apply data analysis and benchmarking skills to inform sourcing decisions and ensure alignment with the global sourcing strategy. * Negotiate with Suppliers: Engage in negotiations with suppliers, taking into account the strategic positioning of the supplier with regards to IBM's strategic sourcing decisions. * Document Sourcing Process: Document sourcing activities in a structured and auditable way to ensure transparency and accountability throughout the sourcing process. * Build Supplier Relationships: Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers, influencing them to meet IBM's strategic sourcing objectives.
* Exposure to Commodity Sourcing: Deep industry knowledge of commodities being sourced, including market trends and dynamics. * Data Analysis and Benchmarking: Experience working with data analysis tools and benchmarking methodologies to inform sourcing decisions. * Sourcing Process Execution: Exposure to the 7-step sourcing process, including understanding demand, establishing suppliers, and ensuring cost-effective and high-quality supply. * Supplier Relationship Management: Experience working with suppliers, including negotiation and relationship-building to achieve strategic sourcing objectives. * Auditable Documentation: Exposure to documenting sourcing activities in a structured and auditable way to ensure transparency and accountability.
* Industry Knowledge Enhancement: Exposure to deep industry knowledge of various commodities, including market trends and dynamics, to enhance sourcing decisions and strategies. * Advanced Data Analysis: Experience working with advanced data analysis tools and benchmarking methodologies to inform complex sourcing decisions and optimize sourcing strategies. * Strategic Sourcing Insights: Exposure to developing strategic sourcing insights through data analysis, market research, and industry trends to drive effective sourcing decisions.
