Main Job Purpose:
The Process Engineer
is responsible for maintaining the factory s standards of digital use cases- their deployment, upkeep and innovation in the space. They lead value creation through the digital use cases across PQCDSM- productivity (production loss minimisation), quality improvement, safety, cost savings. All such efforts will tie up with the Factory Scorecard and Digital Transformation Index improvement for the site.
They play the central role in deployment of new Digital Use Cases communicated centrally at the site- data capturing from field instruments, data analysis, prediction and coordination with respective departments on mitigation. Aligned to this they will provide teaching, Coaching and Mentoring on Digital Use Cases issues for all leaders and operators within the sourcing unit.
Key Skills and Responsibilities:
Instrumentation Expertise- Working knowledge of field instruments (temperature, pressure, flow), deep understanding and working knowledge of APC, PLC, DCS, SCADA, HMI. Working knowledge of VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives). Knowledge of P&IDs, design of instruments. Knowledge of network architecture.
Robotics- Work experience of robots & cobots preferred.
Data Analysis & Visualization Tools- Hands-on knowledge and experience of Advance Excel, Power BI, Power Apps (Power Automate), SQL, KQL
Cybersecurity- Basic knowledge of IT-OT, factory LAN Network, Firewalls
Personal Leadership The Digital Lead must be able to lead engineering improvement using excellent engineering knowledge, clear communication and logical thinking.
Promoting Leadership - The Digital Lead is uniquely placed to support and influence factory teams by digital solutions. They must promote the development of effective teams in the course of their work, helping them to retain focus on their goals and targets.
Problem Solving - Has the ability to identify, prioritise and address problems using appropriate digital tools and techniques that eliminate recurrence; drives the use of the digital tools within the sourcing unit.
Other Requirements:
Predictive Data Tools- Artificial Intelligence tools knowledge and experience preferred. basics of machine learning (linear regression, logistics regression, supervised/unsupervised learning models, decision trees, random forests)
Professional Qualifications:
B.Tech. (Electronics & Instrumentation)
Experience- minimum 5-6 years of work experience
Experience Required:
ESSENTIAL:
Core Engineering Skills Background in Electrical & Instrumentation.
Experience of working as part of an extended team within the manufacturing sector.
PREFERRED / DESIRABLE:
Experience in implementing digital tools in factory settings to improve productivity, quality, safety incidents.
Experience of manufacturing in a Fast-Moving Consumer Goods Company.
Experience as a team member within a project Management team with an awareness of project management tools and techniques.
