Overview The purpose of this job is to Lead INDIA Packaging portfolio across PepsiCo India Foods Operations, managing within the MSO / COE organization a total spend of $ 140 MM, through (1) Define and execute the individual category strategies: Risk Management, Supplier Relationship Management, Innovation and Productivity, (2) Measuring and Improving Performance, (3) and Achieving Annual Plans and Delivering Productivity. Responsibilities Support (in close collaboration with the INDIA Region MSO) implementation of the INDIA Procurement vision, mission and strategy. Manage Packaging categories at BU level leveraging PepsiCo’s OpCo’s COSO and Copack footprint Work closely with INDIA MSO and GP COEs to: Plan and monitor Packaging categories’ annual and long-term strategic sourcing targets Plan and monitor sourcing Productivity / Savings for Packaging categories (for the current year and over IBP) Lead improvement initiatives from procurement side for categories in scope Evaluate & evolve sourcing strategies based on changing market conditions and provide inputs during strategic sourcing activities, including internal and external analysis and negotiations. Ensure implementation of sourcing strategies / plans, compliance monitored, and benefits tracked (in close collaboration with the Transactional Procurement Team) in line with the procurement policies, DoA and Procurement practices Ensure full compliance to Commodity Playbooks, where applicable. Closely liaise with INDIA main business stakeholders. Sell Procurement to business stakeholders; represent INDIA GP function internally (peer level) and externally (suppliers) Ensure implementation of best-in-class sourcing methods and tools. Govern the development of contracts and agreements; support negotiations of important contracts as well as developments with key suppliers Execute INDIA procurement strategy through governing the development of Packaging category sourcing strategies for productivity and value enhancement that result in tangible benefits to the bottom line. Functionally Lead the GP Packaging sourcing team: People Planning, Objective Setting, Career progression Lead the INDIA GP Packaging team in tracking, monitoring and reporting of supplier markets for categories during the duration of contracts (including benchmarking against industry / market standards) Own India BU Packaging Sustainability agenda Own Local / Regional Packaging Supplier Relationship Management. Plan, develop and mentor INDIA GP Packaging sourcing team Develop and share Region Packaging Team Performance scorecards, action plans Qualifications Bachelor of Engineering + Postgraduate qualification – MBA from a Premier Management institute. Advanced degrees (Masters) preferred 12-15 years’ experience in FMCG Sourcing / Procurement with 4-5 years of Packaging procurement experience. Procurement professional (CIPS or equivalent) will be a plus Packaging qualification form IIP or other equivalent institutes wil be a plus. International/ multinational experience preferred Food & Beverage Packaging Sourcing Experience. Experience of procurement/ strategic sourcing in India Experience in using advanced sourcing methodologies/ tools Experience in a regional procurement function/ company Skilled in managing across a dispersed team of business stakeholders in different locations; strong selling skills Go-To-Person on Performance Metrics and Best Practices around Metrics. Multilingual preferred Ability to work cross-functionally, cross-geographically and across multiple cultures
