The Principal Software Architect is a senior technical leader responsible for defining, maintaining, and evolving the software architecture for complex enterprise systems. This role ensures that solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with business objectives while fostering innovation and technical excellence across engineering teams.
· Define and maintain high-level architecture for enterprise applications and platforms.
· Establish design principles, patterns, and standards for software development.
· Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend adoption strategies.
· Drive modernization initiatives, including cloud migration and microservices adoption.
· Partner with product owners, engineering managers, and stakeholders to align technical solutions with business goals.
· Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering teams.
· Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and performance standards.
· Implement best practices for code quality, testing, and deployment.
· Promote innovation through research and proof-of-concepts.
· Optimize system performance and reliability through proactive design improvements.
· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
· 12+ years of software development experience, with at least 5 years in an architecture leadership role.
· Proven expertise in designing distributed systems, microservices, and cloud-native applications.
· Strong knowledge of modern programming languages and frameworks (e.g., .NET Core, Java, Node.js).
· Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and container orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes).
Preferred Skills
· Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
· Familiarity with security frameworks and compliance standards.
· Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
· Ability to influence technical direction across multiple teams and projects.
